I used one of the great gals from the Clear & Simple Stamps BFF set as well as a banner and saying from the Banner of News set. I ended up using all the same pattern paper (DCWV). I used the swiss dots cuttlebug embossing folder for my background. All my layers, except the first one are up on pop dots. I love dimension and pop dots are awesome.

It's Friday and that means it's Unity's Hip Hop Hangover. I didn't get a chance to post my Unity Addicts card from Wednesday so here it is today. This week's challenge was to make a simple card. Our challenge picker this week was Kim. Sometimes Less Is More. A card base (you can layer if you like), an image and/or sentiment, and one embellishment.
This second card I wanted to share is one I made a long time ago but I don't think I posted. A simple wedding card in which I paper pieced the cake.

Weekly Sketch Challenge

Are you ready for a new year of fun sketches from Lauren? Here is today's fantastic sketch.

I have to admit those little squares through me for a loop at first, LOL! I pulled out this set I had forever from Cat's Pajamas that I never inked up. It's a cute Valentine themed one. Even though I was thrown for a loop in the end I think it worked out nicely. I used a mix of scraps for this card actually. I think the pattern paper was from last year Target's dollar spot and the pink was just in my stash from an unknown source. I used the scallop circle nesties to cut out the circle.

There you have simple and sweet.
