Cafe Mojo BOM

The last Tuesday of each month is the Book of Me challenge at Cafe Mojo. Do you keep a Book of Me? It's a fun thing to do for yourself and something neat to make for your children.

This week the BOM challenge is "What is your favorite beverage?". Mine is coffee, I drink at least a pot of coffee a day! HA No joke. My favorite coffee on the go is Dunkin Donuts and at home I make Maxwell House.

Here is my BOM page for my favorite beverage:
My images are by The Paper Company Studio (a set that I recently picked up at AC Moore), with the exception for the word addiction which was part of a Unity Stamp.

Come on over to the Cafe Mojo blog and play along, we'd love to see what you come up with.

Thanks for stopping by.

Mothers & Daughters Creations

I'm a little late on some postings lately but here are some fun things I worked on. Each week the Mothers & Daughters Creations design team(s) have challenges. Last Thursday the MDC Card team had the challenge of making a bookmark. I love making bookmarks, a fun size to work with. I of course usually go pretty traditional with mine. Here is what I came up with:

Then today the scrapbook team challenge was to make an Easter decoration. I will admit this is a repeat as I was swamped with alot of family stuff this past weekend and last week my Copic class. This cute little basket I actually made last year but wanted to share it again. It is using a cute image from Imaginisce Stamps which Tamara of MDC carries in the store.

That's it for now.

Copic Class, Birthday Party, Sketches and New releases OH MY!

This week has been a super busy week. I have not had much time to get too much stamping done so I'm a little behind.

Thursday I attended the Copic Certification class. IT ROCKED! Marianne Walker was our instructor and she is the Queen of Copics. She is sooo nice and can she color and draw. One woman in the class kept saying I want to be Marianne when I grow up and how true that is. It's amazing how she can color and the way it turns out and draw! The class was awesome and lots of fun, now to practice practice practice!

Today we are having a birthday celebration for my twins, they turn 3! I can't believe how fast time flies, it's amazing! They will go to preschool in the fall :-(
It is also Saturday so that means another fantastic sketch from Lauren which sadly I didn't get a chance to get a sample of. But here is the awesome sketch I hope that you can play.

This weekend Queen Kat Designs is having a special Vintage release. You must check it out HERE.....

So I will leave with a little something I made using Clear & Simple Stamps Dipolma Gents

That's it for now.

Clear & Simple Stamps Easter Release

TODAY IS THE DAY FOR THE CLEAR & SIMPLE STAMPS EASTER RELEASE!

You won't want to miss the awesome sets that are being released.

Check out the CSS Store here.

Here are some more creations from the new release:

This month Clear & Simple Stamps is also the sponsor for the super fun challenge site CAFE MOJO.

Today is the sponsor challenge day and Nicki the owner of Clear & Simple picked a color challenge for everyone:

"COLOR CHALLENGE: To go along with the season and to celebrate some of our Irish roots, what would the month of March be without a St. Patrick's Day Challenge? Now here is the catch....you can only use green as an accent color. Make a monochromatic creation and use only green in your embellishments, meaning brads, staples, ribbon, etc. - you get the idea. Paper, stamped images and coloring must be done in shades of grey, black and white. Happy Stamping!"

Here is what I came up with:

My base is a light grey which I couldn't get to come out in the photo very well. I cut out the shamrock on glitter paper from template I got online.

Come and play along with this challenge for a chance to win a $15 gift certificate from Clear & Simple Stamps. Check out the details on the Cafe Mojo challenge blog HERE.

Thanks for stopping by.

Lauren's Weekly Challenge

As you may know each week Lauren Meader gives us an awesome sketch challenge to participate in. This week there is a sketch but we don't have to focus on the sketch necessarily. One of our fellow Saturday sketch team member, Alicia's son is very ill. My heart breaks for them. So this week we are making cards to send to her son Ethan.

I had this card in my stash for sometime, I think it was based on one of Lauren's previous sketches from back in October. But I always loved it and never used it. I think Dinosaurs are perfect for a little boy so I think I will send this to him.

If you are interested in sending something to Ethan let me know. Be sure to swing by Lauren's Blog for more inspiration and this week's "real" sketch.

Thanks for stopping by.

My Favorite Things April Guest Designer Call

This is my creation for the My Favorite Things Guest designer call for April. The challenge was to use buttons on your card.

I layered this card using papers by the new Citrus collection by DCWV. I cut out one of the sparkly flowers and used a pop dot to make a layer and added a button to it. A flower cutout from the same paper adorns the flower pot with a button. I used copics to color in and mounted it on a piece of red paper by Bazzill.

Some side views of the layers in my card:

That's it for now. Lot's of My Favorite Things this month but I had a blast with this and the idol audition so we'll see what happens. Hey you never know...

Thanks for swinging on by!

My Favorite Things Idol Audition

My Favorite Things is holding a "MFT Idol" audition. I thought I would give it a go. I created this card from a invitation I received from a friend for her son's birthday (not a handmade card). It's sort of like flip flap kind of card.

Here is the front view:

Open view of the card:

Some more views of the side closed:

I liked how this turned out. I haven't seen this type before and I thought it was so cool when I got it in the mail I had to keep it as a template.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Maybe next week I'll have another idol creation for you, fingers crossed we'll see.

I'm posting a few today! WOO HOO! I have a few Unity creations to share with you. I've been using my Unity stamps but have not been posting all of them. This week I thought it would be a good idea to particpate in Hip Hop Hangover!

The first few are from Unity Addicts Challenges which I host each week in the Unity Friends forum at SCS:

This layout is a Cafe Mojo challenge for today and the challenge is addictions (the "purse addictions" sentiment and the stamped purse are Unity images):

I think that covers it for today. Any questions let me know sorry for lack of details. Don't forget to check my previous post for some BLOG CANDY from Clear & Simple Stamps.
