Just Us GIrls Challenge!

It's time for another fun challenge with Just Us Girls!  This week is Trend Week and Nancy picked a good one: "WORD DIE CUTS".  We all have some of these in our stash so come play along with us.

So I pulled out the Cheery Christmas kit from Unity Stamp Co. for this card.  When I went to find my Merry Christmas word die I couldn't find it only to remember I don't have one.  For some reason I really thought I had one.  I then went with a birthday greeting because now this is the perfect card to give my mom on her birthday which happens to be Christmas Day!

Unity New Release and Blog Hop!

It's new Release Day and the entire Unity DT is hopping!

I have two cards and a quick video to share with you.

This first card is using the kit called Cheery Christmas! I just love this wreath and I wanted something to "hang" it on so I created a simple faux wood background using Distress inks. The wreath is attached using dimensional foam pop dots.

Check out this sweet teacup kitty! I layered the kitty (using foam dimensionals) for dimension in the teacup.

Beauty Everyday

I'm up on the Unity Stamp Co blog today sharing a card using this month's SMAK kit called TRUEST LIFE.  First take a peek at this amazing kit:

I used watercolor pencils to color in and layered the flower and created a bit of a grungy look. I took one of the fantastic sentiments and cut it up to place around the card.  The center of the flower has a blue glittered brad.

Just Us Girls Color Week

I'm up as hostess for this week's Just Us Girls color challenge.  I picked fall colors for the challenge: Burgundy, Yellow and Orange!  I just love the fall season so these colors are perfect!

Just Us Girls - Trend Week

Bobby is our hostess this week for Trend Week!  She picked Block Watercolor Stamping!  This is a fun one.  

I used Distress Inks and my acrylic stamping block.  Basically take your first color and swipe it on the top of the block, spritz with water and smoosh on watercolor paper.  I used Distress Watercolor Cardstock.  Repeat in different colors drying in between and overlapping. My sentiment is from Unity Stamp Co and the kit called You Make You.

I used The Misti Stamping tool to get a fantastic dark and crisp color for the sentiment.
