Snowbunny Bella

Who is off to party tonight? I'm not, DH and I will tuck the kiddos in and cook dinner. I finally inked up my new snowbunny bella and here she is.... The background paper is my my famous stack packs, a glittery one this time. I colored and added shimmer with stickles. I didn't follow a sketch but did add this simple one to my book. Used my bug to emboss the background. Gotta love the cuttlebug!

Saturday Sketch Challenge - Bellas

I'm a bit late with this challenge but this is from Lauren's weekly sketch challenge, last Saturday. I finally rec'd my new Bellas so I used my Rockabella for this sketch. The patterned paper is Cosmo Cricket. I colored using my Bic Mark It markers (the first Copic shipments are being made next week by Gina!). I added Bling to her guitar and shoes using Christmas Red stickles. The Rockstar sentiment I picked up at Michaels in the dollar bin.

I'm a little annoyed because I'm having picture taking issues! ERRR. I think I tried 100 shots of this one (ok maybe 100 is exaggerating a bit). Sigh.... so I apologize if this is a bit blurry. In the end I think this card looks better in person than I can photograph. I like Lauren's sketch so I might have to give it another try and work on better photography, in the meantime I figured I can still share.

Sketch Challenge

Are you ready to create? Here is my first sketch challenge. It's very simple but after hectic holidays we need to slowly get back into the swing of things. LOL. OK, fine it's just because I decided to kept it plain and simple! I've been trying to work on keeping a binder of my sketches so hopefully we can have more sketch challenge fun!

For my sample I used Gina K's Just Keep Swimming set
and the sentiment is from Stampin Up's Garden Whimsy. I used the cuttlebug to create the embossed effect on the blue background papers. Stickles created the wonderful glittery effect on the fish.
I hope that you will join in and link back here your creations.

Are you ready for Easter? LOL

HA HA, I KNOW calm down, Christmas JUST ended! LOLOL! However I got some new stamps from Serendipity and some of which are Easter ones. So I had to start playing with this adorable Chickie.

Never fear I know Valentine's Day is next and I will have other Valentine cards to share but I just had to jump the gun on this one. I stamped and colored with my famous (LOL) Bic Mark it markers. (Yes the Copics will be slowly arriving) I used my favorite stickles for glitter and liquid pearls. The ribbon I had purchased at Michaels. The background paper is from DCWV stack pack.

Gina K Sketch Challenge

I finally had a chance to take a photo and post this creation I made using Gina K stamps. I purchased some after her last release party. Things got busy and took a while to get them inky! But Gina has some great images you should check out. I'm also very excited that she started a Copic Marker club! Woo hoo! I hear there is a trick to using them I hope it's not too tricky. Right now I'm using Bic Mark Its! But I have to say they have been serving me well. LOLOL!

Here he is Mr. Penguin from Gina's sketch challenge on SCS. Pretty simple but he's soo cute.

Merry Christmas to everyone!! I hope Santa is treating you well this year. I have been waiting to get my new BELLAS in the mail and GUESS WHAT, they arrived yesterday!! My husband was about to head out to the store and got the mail but came back in because he saw I got a package from Canada and he knew I have been waiting for them! WOO HOO. That was a nice little present! Sorry the photo is not the greatest but these are the Bellas I got!
Anyhow, I will stamp this week and hopefully have some to share.

Nestablities - Help!

OK, so I need to make that initial investment and get some nestablities. I'm just not sure which to get, circles, squares, large, small, scalloped. Help! I've never seen them in person so I'm not sure how large or small they are etc. I started a poll if you like to vote or just let me know what you think might be best. Thanks!!

Lizzie Anne Weekly Challenge

OK here it is the weekly challenge at LAD on SCS. The challenge... NO LAYERS! That is definitely a challenge but that's OK right? I masked the flowers, colored using markers and added stickles for the glitter. The LAD set I used was Blissful Blossoms.

I was having trouble getting a good shot of it with the camera. I think it looks better in person. What do you think? I know Meredith said no layers, so I wondered about using embellishments. Did no layers just mean paper layers etc? Well, I just decided to say yes and go with that which made it more challenging. I think the white background is a bit boring, but I didn't get a chance to redo or try and fix. Let me know what you think.

MFT Weekly Challenge

This was the MFT sketch challenge this week at SCS. I already had the image stamped and colored from a few days again intending to work with it and this sketch challenge was the perfect way. I used MFT Baby It's Cold Outside set. Gotta love that set! I used my Christmas paper pack for the great dot background. The cuttlebug gave me the embossed look on the green paper. The ribbon on the bottom is great velvet ribbon. of course stickles create the snow effect. On the "fur" part of the boots I used Stampin Up flock to make it look fluffy.

Saturday Sketch Time

It's that time of the week again when Lauren posts her weekly sketch. I used "Baby It's Cold Outside" set from MFT. I am really loving the MFT sets. This was a good one to do because we got slammed with 2 snow storms this week. However, last night it was mostly sleet I heard it pelting the house all night. I know some people LOVE snow on Christmas, but I really hope we don't get any. It's just too messy to drive and get around. :-( I know I'm a party pooper. Anyhow, here is my creation using Lauren's Fun sketch.

It's not the best photograph, had trouble with lighting. I tend to have that problem, but that's probably because I'm doing most of my work at night :=) In this card I used Stickles for the sparkly areas. The embossed circle and bottom layer of the card are of course using my great friend the Cuttlebug. I say it everytime I use it, it's the best thing I purchased! Thanks Lauren for telling me I HAD TO GET IT. (I know I thanked you a few times already and will continue to do so!)

Lizzie Anne Designs Challenge

This is my creation for the LAD challenge at SCS this week. The challenge was to have an element pop out. The heart is what is popped out. The set is called L'Amour, this is a great Valentine's Day Stamp.

Red Elephants.....

He's back..... Ok I brought out this great elephant from Starving Artistamps. I wanted to do something different and with it being the holidays and all I decided on RED. OK, maybe a little kooky but I think it's fun and like the way it turned out. What do you think? It's OK you can be critical if you want :-)
I used my handy dandy paper stacks from DCWV as background paper. The elephant was colored using markers (Sketch It markers by BIC, don't worry I did sign up for the Copic Marker club over at Gina K so maybe my coloring will slowly improve). The snowflake is actually an ornament. I picked up a pack of these in white and silver glittered of course! The sentiment "chillin'" is from MFT, Baby It's Cold Outside set. Finally, the Seasons Greetings is from Hero Arts.

Baby It's Cold Outside

With a snowstorm on it's way this was a great time to receive me new stamps from My Favorite Things. MFT has the coolest stamps, such a neat style to them. At first I remember thinking what is with all the headless people but then you think they are pretty darn cool. Anyhow, I made this card using a sketch from the MFT forum at SCS, it was a sketch challenge. I'm not 100% happy with it, I think I should have used a darker background instead of white. But I just went with it for now and it's not too bad. Of course I used my Ranger Stickles for the snow, what would a card be without the stickles! The embossed background is using my Cuttlebug, of course! The background papers are from my many stack packs I get at Joannes. And the buttons are Stampin Up! I do have to say I need to get more SU buttons! Maybe I'll wait for the new catty! LOLOL.

So here it is and let's get ready for some snow! OK, so who lives in an area that receives lots of snow?? I don't love the snow because of the mess but I can be home tomorrow so it should be pretty! I wouldn't want to live in an area that does not see the seasons. Although lately it seems we jump from Summer to Winter and Winter to Summer! What the heck happened to Fall and Spring??? Oh well.....

Cutie Patootie

Once again I know it's not Valentine's Day but I have some great sets to share. These are also new at Serendipity Stamps, so I had to get them and start playing. Don't worry Christmas is not over yet, still time to make some more cards. On these great ones I once again used my awesome papers from my stack packs (P.S. I just got 2 more packs the other day :-))
Soon I'll be back with some Easter Fun! OK, stop laughing at me! :-)

Serendipity Stamps

I know it's Christmas time but I have a few fun cards to share with you (it will get you thinking about what's next:-)) I just got some new stamps from Serendipity, these are so cute! I love their images.

First up are 3 cards using the Valentine's pets! In this first one I colored the dog and used Christmas red stickles to "glitter" the heart. The circle paper is from one of my many stack packs I got at Joannes and the red "lines" I added it with a marker.

In this second card the background is using a patterned paper by Provo Craft. The ribbon is from Michaels and the buttons are Stampin Up. Can you guess what I used on the little heart? OK it's not stickles but I did use Liquid Pearls, Pastel Raspberry and it is by Ranger.

In this third one using Valentine Pets, I once again used patterned background paper from DCWV, once again packs I purchased at Joannes. This time I used both the dog and cat and my Christmas Red stickles.

Happy Hanukkah

I'm a few days late with posting this one sorry. Although, Hanukkah is 8 nights so really I'm not too late. I used Stampin Ups "Festival of Lights" for this card. My Cuttlebug created the background and the patterned paper is from my scrap pack I purchased at Joannes. And guess what? Stickles is what I used to make the coins shine! Ahhh, stickles gotta love them.

My Favorite Things Challenge

Here is what I submitted for the MFT challenge. The challenge was to use an ATC card and incorporate that onto a card. My santa in a chimney is stamped on an ATC card. I stamped and added the HO HO to the top of the ATC card. Glitter is my friend so I added some stickles to make it look like snow/ice. The background pattern is using my new found friend the Cuttlebug. I used the spots and Dots embossing folder. The "lights" paper is from a stack pack I had and added the Velvet ribbon. The stamp I picked up at Viva Las Vegas stamps when I was there a few years ago. I know this is for an MFT challenge but my first MFT order is waiting for me to check out so decided to use something I currently had. I hope you like it.

Lizzie Anne Designs Weekly Challenge

This week LAD sketch challenge had diagonals! I have to say I was a spaz with it. I tried different papers, have so many scraps all over. I couldn't cut the paper to fit right, I don't know what was wrong. Anyhow, in the end I decided to use my cool Christmas ribbon. I think it came out ok. I love my background using my new friend the Cuttlebug. The LAD set that I used is Christmas in the City. I love how my stamped portion came out. I stamped the three trees and the snowman but I cut out the snowman and using pop dots stuck him in the middle so he stands out. After all the spaziness (can I use that?) I like how it turned out.

So speaking of the Cuttlebug, I need to get some nestabilities now. So off I go to find a good place to order some, or at least one set for now! :-)

Till later.....

Elegant Lady

The other day when I picked up my Cuttlebug I saw this stamp. (you can't just walk past the stamps without looking!) I don't know why but it struck me that I had to get it. I liked it for some reason and I'm not sure why. LOLOL. I actually think I have others that might be like this as well. At one point I was collecting some "artsy" stamps (sorry not sure if that is the correct term to use or not, but it's my description:-))
Anyhow, I stamped it last night and added my famous glitter, Stickles of course. Today I printed out the weekly Lizzie Anne Designs challenge and liked the cool layout. So I borrowed that sketch to use with my new elegant lady stamp. OF COURSE my background is using my Cuttlebug embossing folder (I do love this machine and the embossing folders, I need more!). This stamp is by Rubber Stampede.

The actual LAD challenge was to use this sketch and make a Christmas card which I do plan on doing using the LAD Christmas in the City set. Hopefully I will have some time tonight to play.

In the meantime I hope you like "Elegant Lady". I know a bit corny but I'm not great at coming up with snappy names, I'll keep trying.

Saturday Sketch Challenge

Lauren not feeling well and all still managed to post her weekly sketch challenge yesterday. I used this great snowman from Sarasota Stamps and the Sentiment is from Lizzie Anne Designs .
Can you guess how I got my cool background paper? LOL, of course you know using my new Cuttlebug! LOL, yes I was allowed to use it early as well! So far I do love it, now I will start collecting all the great embossing folders and will NEED to invest in the nestabilities! Lauren was in the end who convinced me I had to get the Cuttlebug and I'm glad.

Santa came early..

Santa definitely came a little early this year. One thing I asked for was the Cuttlebug and my DH had NO CLUE where to start. It was much easier for me to go with him to the store and show him, so today we bought it!! WOO HOO! I also got 2 embossing folders! I already have some small dies that I used with my sizzix sidekick but that thing is soo small. THIS is large so now I'm psyched to do some cool backgrounds etc. Next up, Nestablities. So here is my new friend...... :-)

Elephant Fun - Starving Artistamps

This cute elephant is from Starving Artistamps. I wasn't' sure at first what to do with it. But I liked it. Got to coloring, found some animal print paper and viola! OK, fine the animal print may not be "elephant" print but who cares, it reminds me more of a safari look right?

I'm getting excited about it being my turn as Guest Designer for Starving Artistamps. It was such an honor to be chosen out of so many people. I hope I can do a good job, there are so many talented ladies on the actual design team as well as guest team! But I love their images so it should be fun and exciting. In the mean time I will continue working with the stamps I recently purchased. I think I need to try some quirky things with the elephant, maybe think outside the elephant box. Elephants don't have to be grey do they? My kids have a blue stuffed elephant! :-) Off I go to play, till later........

Sketch Challenge

I'm a few days late but here is my take on Lauren's weekly sketch challenge. I don't know what it was but at first I had a hard time. I think it's PMS kicking in because I was getting so mad! I have scraps all over now. Anyhow, in the end I think it came out ok. Let me know what you think.

Starving Artistamps

I received my Starving Artistamps order last week so I finally had a chance to play. I decided to start with these great butterflies. On this first one I used paper from Cosmo Cricket as the background. The pink paper is Stampin Up's Real Rose. I added some brads and of course my Ranger Stickles for glam. The cool flower is a fabric one but I'm not sure who makes it.

This second one I used Stampin Up's Olive Green and a turquoise paper. The background flowers is from a stack pack I got from Joannes and I added some vellum for shimmer. Once again Ranger Stickles adds sparkle.

HO HO HO

Yes I know that should read Gobble, Gobble, Gobble and my card should be an image of a Turkey. But i made this christmas card a few days ago. It's using this santa I had, which I purchased a few years ago at the Heirloom Productions show in Springfield, MA. Of course like with my previous flower stamp I don't know who made it :-( I had a few stamps from that show like this, that I am now trying to use. SOOO, if you happen to recognize it pls let me know. The holidays lights and sentiment are from Michael's dollar spot, Studio G. Finally I colored and added SPARKLE. Did I mention I love the Stickles by Ranger? :-) The little presents where also a dollar bin find as well.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Project

I've been working on a few cards for a friend of mine. She asked me to make some plain cards and some birthday cards. These are two of the plain ones. This first one I used a flower which I purchased a few years ago. I do not know whose flower it is. I got it unmounted at the West Springfield, Heirloom convention probably 3 or 4 years ago. At the time I didn't think of writing down all the great companies, I was a dope! Now I have a few of these images but no clue what company. If you recognize it let me know. The sentiment is from an old Stampin Up set.

This second card is using the wonderful Funky Floral set from Lizzie Anne Designs. The paper in this is from Cosmo Cricket and the background from Stampin Up. Of course in both cards I added Stickles glitter glue. Love that stuff!

Lizzie Anne Weekly Challenge

Each week at Splitcoast, LAD hosts a challenge. This week it was to use your scrap pieces of papers. Ok, at first I looked at the sketch and the samples and was like ohhh, I dont think I like this one. But I said NO it's a challenge so challenge yourself. I started gathering pieces and organizing according to the sketch. AND like what happens all the time, I loved doing it and loved how it turned out. Somehow I surprise myself everytime. I'm not saying it's the best piece of artwork, but I thought in the end it wasn't too bad. I was happy and I did enjoy making it. I think I may use the sketch again. I mostly like the middle scrap section where I used 4 pieces to make the square.
The set that I used is Christmas In the City. I love LAD stamps, they are all so cute, whimsical and just plan fun to play with. I still have a Valentine set I haven't even started playing with yet.

So here it is:

Time to catch up with a few tags:

The first one was from Courtney

You have to use your middle name:
A - Always be thankful for what you have
N - Never go to bed mad
N - Continue to learn New things.

The second one is from Gina:

1. If you could have 100.00 worth of scrapbook paper or assorted embellishments, which would you choose?
I would have to say paper. I love embellishments for sure but at least with paper you can do so much, like make your own cool embellishments.

2. If you had to choose between using only stamps or ribbons, which would you choose?
Definitely Stamps!!! Love my stamps!!

3. If you knew how to do both awesome cards and layouts but could only do one for a whole year…which would you do?
Cards

4. Would you rather own a scrap booking store or have your own scrapping room at home…(can’t have both he he he).
A stamping / scrapping oasis of my own!

5. What is your CURRENT card making or scrapping style?
I've been asked this before and I never had a good answer and I still don't. Maybe I don't have a good word to describe it. I like to try different things.

Tag your it. You can use either tag.

It's the Most Wonderful Time of the year....

Isn't it? Ok I know all the hustle and bustle and mean people, sometimes it does not seem like it is. But I LOVE Christmas and the season. Ok so how many of you are all done with shopping? I haven't even started to think about it yet. It's still early right? LOLOL

I decided to use my Sweet Seasons set from Stampin Up to make this cute card. I used Liquid Pearls to add the "snow" to the snowman and glitter (of course) to make his eyes sparkle. The sentiment is from the dollar bin at Michaels, Studio G.

Christmas in the City by LAD

I've been playing some with my christmas stamps from Lizzie Anne Designs. In the first one I used the adorable snowman. The scrap piece on the left is from a Christmas stack pack I purchased at Joannes. I added Ranger Stickles for sparkle. I have to say I love the stickles I have been using them on everything. Who doesn't like some sparkle?

This second card I also used LAD's Christmas in the City set. I took the wreath on a the door image, colored and again added my sparkle to it. I wasn't sure about using this image but i think this came out cute.

Sunday Shopping

Stopped off at Michael's and picked up a few Christmas stamps from the dollar bin. They didn't have too many though :=( They also had 70% off Halloween items and in that they had a Martha Stewart letter stamp set. I was able to get it for 2.99! I thought that was pretty good. The style of it is "Halloweenish" (can i use that word?:-)). Then I went back to my local stamp store and try again on getting ONE just ONE marker in brown. This time I had success and walked out with ONE marker and nothing else, impressed?

Now I'm off to Starving Artistamps to look at things. They have some great images so I may have to place an order soon.

All for now, I have some glitter drying, once finished I'll have some cards to post. And I have also been tagged by Courtney but I need to think about the answers! :-)

Weekend Stamping

I have two different cards to share. The first one is Shopping Chic :-) I went off to my local stamp store yesterday to pick up one brown marker to color my Turkey's with. So what happened more than $30 later? Well I found these two great stamps to start. They are both by Stampendous. The shopping chic is from the Fashion Friendzy line, I need to see what else they have in that line. The quote is from Purse-nally Yours. I actually had to stop myself on getting more purse stamps. I love purses, must have over 100! :) I remembered I had one purse stamp at home so for now that was good but HAD to have this quote! I also HAD to get 2 other markers, 2 stickles and another stamp. I think that's it, I don't even remember. My background stamp on Shopping Chic is French Script from Stampin Up.

This second creation is the Turkey set from Missy B Designs. This is the Turkey I wanted to get a brown marker for to color. For some reason nothing seemed to be working. So what happened with my new brown marker? NOTHING, I got the wrong color! Yes I know you are thinking how did that happened. I don't know. The cap looked like a nice brownish color and I thought I had tested it. Well, let me tell you I don't think I tested it and I didn't look at the color name which is Burnt Umber. Definitely does not sound like a Turkey color now does it? So in the end I didn't even get what I went for! I decided to stamp the turkey on light brown paper instead. I didn't really like it but decided to just go with it and see what happens. SO this is how it turned out. I added Ranger stickles which I thought turned out great. The background paper is from Cosmo Cricket. What do you think?

FROSTY THE SNOWMAN

Here he is again. I love my Frosty! This stamp is from Serendipity stamps. The funky background paper is from a Christmas Stack pack I purchased at AC Moore. I thought the pinks in it were a little "nontraditional" but cool so I went with that color scheme. Added some pink Stickles glitter glue and a the glitter snowflake. I picked up a pack of these snowflakes in the Christmas Ornament dept of Michael's.

Lizzie Anne Designs - Weekly Challenge

This week's sketch was pretty simple but definitely great to work with. I love my new LAD stamps which I rec'd on Saturday. Very quick turnaround I was psyched!!!! The first card is the one for the Weekly Challenge. I used SU's white flock to make the snowman look "snowy".

This second card I made also using the Christmas in the City LAD set. This is a great set to play with. I used Stickles glitter glue to make it sparkle.

Weekly Challenge

Once again another week has gone by. I checked in on Lauren's blog for the Weekly Sketch Challenge. Since I rec'd my new Lizzie Anne Designs stamps yesterday I had to use them for this sketch. So the stamps are from LAD Christmas in the City set. The cool glitter snowflake I picked up at Michaels.
NEW CHALLENGE: Get out of those SNOWMEN stamps and accessories and make some cards. I love Snowmen for the holidays! Ok so it's not a big challenge but the challenge is to get the stamps out if they are hiding. :-) Use any snowmen from any companies and don't forget to include the SNOWFLAKES! I've already made quite a few snowmen cards, but I too will pull out any snowmen and snowflake stamps I have and make some more fun winter/holiday cards. I would love to see what you come up with.

Inkadinkado

How was your Halloween? Mine went well. I had a Spiderman and a Princess! We took them to the Halloween trick or treating in town earlier in the day then out at night. At 19 months they got the hang of it quickly, helping themselves to candy and letting themselves into peoples house! :-) It was alot of fun though. I used to love Trick or Treating so it's cool to be able to go again! :-)

I've been using my Inkadinkadoo stamps lately! There is a card contest at Jacksonbelle Embellishments. So it's been fun playing with these stamps I haven't used much. This first one is using a large Christmas stamp, I cut out images from it to create the card. Added some patterned paper, buttons and glitter! This second card is using the stamp Christmas stamp but taking one image from it. I used these large flowers I purchased from my local scrapbook store (sorry I don't know the make), again added Glitter (Ranger Sickles).

This third stamp is a cool collage stamp. I cut out the butterflies and separately colored them and added glitter (Stickles of course). I thought the "spotlighting" look cool! I mounted the entire image on paper. The ribbon and buttons added for embellishments.

Finally I used this cool dolpin stamp I purchased awhile ago. I LOVE dolphins, however I never found much to do with them. The cool background paper is from Cosmo Cricket.

Serendipity Stamps Gallery

Woo hoo, I made it into the gallery at Serendipity Stamps! Here are my snowmen and my vase. What fun! Here's hoping for the possiblity of a DT call? Hum... fingers crossed!

Anyhow, I finally used my Serendipity Flower stamp last night. I colored it in with Marvy Brush markers, have to say I love them. Need more! :-) I used Ranger stickles for the yellow glitter in the middle. The patterend paper is from a stack pack I purchased at Joannes, then I just added the white ribbon and black buttons. The layout was no particular sketch but I like what I came up with.

Here's a challenge for you - use my layout for a cool creation. Would love to see them! I'm also of thinking of posting a weekly challenge. OK, maybe not a hard challenge but something even if it's simple to stimulate creativity. Let me know what you think.

Lizzie Anne's Weekly Challenge

Here is my card from week 2 of LAD's weekly challenge on Splitcoast Stampers. Gotta love these great sets. The best part is that they are not mounted on wood and they come in their own little Jewel (CD) cases! Perfect for storage! This week Craft Critique did an awesome write up about the company, check it out.

I have to say I love these weekly challenges. I used two stamps from two sets for this challenge: Funky Floral and Blissful Blossoms! Yes I do like the floral sets.

Saturday Sketch Time

This week Lauren had a great sketch to play with! This card opens up vertically and the cool black band on the bottom has a magnet under the flower to keep the card closed! The shimmery gold paper I picked up at a local paper warehouse, I thought it was very cool. The flower is punched out with the Stampin Up scallop punch. The stamp is one that I purchased at my local stamp store by Impress Rubber Stamps.

Thanks Lauren for the wonderful weekly inspriation!

Spooky Halloween

I am back with my Halloween stamps! I purchased this cool velevty ribbon from my local scrapbook store and figured I should play with it before Halloween is over! I can't believe it's almost Halloween, where does the time go? My little guys are going to be a Princess and Spiderman, too cute!

Unity Stamp Co Tuesday Inspiration!

I'm up on the UNITY BLOG today sharing some cards I made using 2 stamp sets! I used the February background of the month called   as...
