Stamp Out Alzheimer's Challenges

Hi there! Today is the last full day of SOA. It has been amazing and they raised over $6,000 for such a wonderful cause. I had a little bit of time to participate in some challenges.

This card I did for the sketch challenge with Melanie from Gina K. I used the awesome set by Melanie called Jumping for Joy. The sentiment is from the Little Tee's set. My pattern paper and glitter paper is by DCWV and the solid by Bazzill.

Next up I tried a layout sketch. This is a challenge for a guest DT spot at PCP. Check out the sketch here.

I used Bazzill Solids and Making Memories Pattern paper. The "D" in the title is chipboard colored with Copics and the rest are stickers colored in Copics to match. I like the simplicity of this layout.

Well that's all I have now. Tomorrow I have a few things to show you by Victoria Case Designs. They have some awesome Digi images, yes I have tried Digi and it is pretty cool. And once I discovered with a little heat set I can still use Copics I was sold! Now I haven't tried paper piecing yet but I think I can pull it off. I'll have to see.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great Sunday!

My Time To Create Challenge

It's Saturday and it's another one of Lauren's My Time To Create Challenge. Check out this sneak peek of what the DT came up with:

This week it's to do some dry embossing. I have to tell you this was a challenge for me, and yes I know I ended up doing a very simple card. I didn't add color but I thought it looked nice with just the embossing. I don't think my touch is light enough to achieve a really smooth dry embossed look. It was fun trying it though. Here is what I came up with:

Very simple I know. I used images by Unity Stamp Co and paper by Bazzill.

Queen Kat Blog Hop

Welcome to another edition of Royal Kat Wednesday. This week the challenge is to use stitching on your project. You can pull out your sewing machine, hand stitch or even faux stitch. If you hopped from Beverly's blog you went on the right track. If not start at the Queen's blog and check out what everyone did this week.

Here is what I came up with for the stitching project. We recently went to the zoo where they have a butterfly garden and I took some really cool pictures. I decided to use one for my layout. The stamped butterfly is the awesome Flutterby image.

This is the end of your hop. I hope that you will play along with us.

Next week is the Queen Kat May June release and there will be a release hop! Be sure to stop back for more challenges, new stamps and fun next Wednesday June 3.

My Time To Create Challenge

It's Saturday and time for another Lauren My Time Challenge.

This week it is to use one of Lauren's My Timeless Templates. For my project I decided to use "From the Desk of". This template does make you think of a stationary set holder but does it have to be? Of course not. I took it and used it for a gift.

Here is a wonderful snapshot sneak preview of what the design team cooked up for this challenge.

My mom told me she had to give a gift for a friend's birthday and she purchased a scarf for her. I told her I would make a box to put it in. I also have the Bun in the Oven template but for this gift that was too small. So I took my From the Desk of template and went to work. Basically I didn't add the divider inside so I had an open box to put the scarf in.

Here is what I came up with my images are by Unity Stamp Co:

My Time To Create Challenge

Check out this awesome peek at this week's My Time To Create projects!! Don't they look awesome! This week Lauren has an inspiration challenge for us check out this cute picture:

I decided to go with colors for this inspiration. So I pulled out some brown and purple and off I went. I wanted to do a layout again and my Kaitlyn only wears pink so I could not find a picture of her that would work well with the colors, so I picked a picture of her from when she was first born.

These awesome butterflies are by Unity Stamp Co, my solid paper is by Bazzill and the pattern paper by DCWV. My new obsession are flowers and these are by Prima. A while back a local scrapbook store went out of business and I got a bucket of Primas for super cheap! I feel bad to loose awesome local shops but you do have love a bargain.

Don't forget to check out what the My Time To Create Design Team cooked up with week. By looking at the collage above all the creations are super fabulous. So be sure to swing by the following blogs to take a peek and say hello:

Sparkly Caterpiller from Victoria Case

Check out this cute Caterpillar, I won a prize for a challenge with this card. The challenge was to "bling it on". I used stickles on the caterpillar.

This cute image is by Victoria Case Designs a digi/rubber stamp company. This cute image is a digital image. At first I was hesitant at trying my hand with digis but I was impressed with using one. I thought my Copic markers would not like the ink from my printer but once you hit it with a heat gun it worked fine! One great thing is that you can size the image any way you want which is cool.

Be sure to swing by VCD STORE AND BLOG. There is an awesome prize being offered on their blog so you won't want to miss that big blog candy!!
