Growing In Unity! Day 1

This week I'm taking the Growing In Unity week. So I'm pulling together some new things and some that I haven't even blogged yet.

I've been taking the "She Art" class with Christy Tomlimson and have been LOVING IT! I higly recommend it! And Christy is re-releasing the class April 1 with instant access to the full 3 weeks, how cool is that! Tommorrow starts my third and final week so sad! All my She Art creations have been made mostly with my Unity Stamps so I will be sure to share them all. I posted a few on Friday for Friends with Flair Friday HERE. Today I have a new one.

This is a "scene" with my girl. The technique here was creating pleats in her dress. I didn't quite round out or "finish" the bottom of her dress. But I figured I'd just leave it and go with it. Now of course all of my stamped images here are Unity: The flowers, the "bugs", the swirls on bottom. The big blue dots I created using a Cuttlebug die. I have the "honeycomb" die set. This set has a die that cuts something that looks like a honeycomb with holes in it and it has a flower die as well. I didn't have punchanella that you hear many talk about, the sequin waste. So I used this instead. I used paint with it. The pattern papers you see here are from My Mind's Eye and the "text" paper I used for her head, arms, legs are from Stampin Up.

Check out the beads around the sun in the upper left corner. That is liquid beads. Cool stuff actually, basically just beads in a jar of glue. But it works so well! Here is a close up:

I've been having a blast with these "She Art" girls! I have also started some art journaling in books so much fun. It's all so different from creating basic cards so I've been having a blast! Never fear I'm still card making just exploring other artsy things!

Be sure to swing by each day and leave me a comment as I will pick a random winner from all comments at the end of the week!

Thanks for stopping by!
