A Mixed Media Color Challenge

Have you seen the new Mixed Media challenge blog called A MIXED MEDIA COLOR CHALLENGE?  Mona Pendelton has started this blog with a friend and its' totally awesome.

As you know I have been LOVING art journaling lately so I had to play along!  The rules are simple use the colors indicated and at least 2 types of mediums on your creation.

I decided to use my owl book.  In case you are not familiar with my owl book check out this post or this video where I talk about my art journals:

I pulled out a new Unity owl I love called You Always.  I also used other Unity stamps and Tim Holtz background stamps as well as a Micheal's dollar bin one.  In the slide show video below I show photos of the supplies.  If you have any questions let me know!

I've also created a little video slideshow sharing some steps and supplies.  To meet the requirements of the challenge though I did use the colors Pink, Peach and yellow as well as at least 2 mediums.  I used a Dylusion Spray, Distress Ink, Distress stain, archival ink, and markers.

Well that's all for today!

Thanks for stopping by!!!
