Day 6: Growing in Unity and Friends with Flair Friday

Day 4 of Growing in Unity! In case you don't know what Growing in Unity is all about it's a way for those who love Unity stamps to share their Unity creations and be in the spotlight for a week. This was started a long time ago and recently passed on to me to organize and I am so happy to be a part of it. If you want to be a part of the fun check out this thread in the Unity SCS forum for more details.

Alrighty, it's Friday! It was a crazy week for me at home, with my birthday and 2 sick kids the night of my birthday. Sigh... Now I'm feeling a little icky so hopefully it's not going to hit me like it did them! They had the stomach bug so NOT good!

Anyhow, I promised I'd show you my stamping on Canvas. I did get some painters canvas at Home Depot and stamped on it. It doesn't look good! I might share one page though just for giggles so you can laugh at me! :-)

However I did have canvas boards. You know what I mean? You can get them in the painting section and they come in all sorts of sizes. I was never into painting or anything but I assume it's commonly used by painters. I decided to start with the smallest one I have 4x6 and get going. I painted it white first, then sprayed glimmer mists on it. The glimmer mist didn't seem like it "liked" to be on that board so I scrapped it away which left my resulting color and I left it. Here it is:

So here is one of the pages using the canvas drop cloth:

So my Week with Unity is coming to a close. I'm glad I grabbed another week for myself it was fun. The last time I did this was almost 2 years ago! This weekend I will announce our winners. I'm going to try and have another project tomorrow if I can, so I will plan to annouce the winners on Sunday! So if you have been leaving comments be sure to stop by. Thanks to everyone who came by to check out my projects this week, I truly appreciate it!!

If you are looking for a challenge be sure to swing on by the Unity Challenge forum for the newest Unity Addicts Challenge.

Well that's all for now!

Thanks for stopping by!

Great projects! I really like the way the painter's canvas turned out--more of a vintage, grunge style. So nice! Now, to plan a trip to the paint store... Hee-hee!
