A Mixed Media Card Challenge - Summer Fun

Hey there!  Well it's time for a new challenge at The Mixed Media Card Challenge!  This month the theme is summer with an optional feature of using burlap!

Here is what I came up with:

The base is yo yo yellow by Stampin up.  The background was created on a basic piece of Georgia Pacific card stock.  I used a few Dylusions sprays to start with.  Added some stamping and stenciling.  The stars in the corners were added using a stencil and light modeling paste.  I stamped, colored and cut out the shells and added stickles glitter to them.  The burlap is a 7 Gypsies burlap trading card which I hand stitched the orange thread all the way around. The stamps are by Unity Stamp Co.

Some supplies used:

Be sure to head on over to The Mixed Media Card Challenge blog and check out what the design team came up with!  Go leave them some love then play along with us! Can't wait to see what you create this month!

Thanks for stopping by!

what a great summer card Maria! It looks like the shells are sunning themselves on their burlap beach blanket! Wonderful bright colors on this!

Lovely card. The burlap is such a contrast to the summery background and like the shells too.

Beautiful summer card Maria. Love the bright colors and the mix of stamps, sprays and pastes for your background. The shells are so pretty and I love the burlap with the orange stitching! Loll xx
