A Little Ray of Sunshine

On this rainy gloomy day we are having here, this card is a bit of sunshine. Makes you get ready for summer! Ok I really don't like Summer (yes I'm crazy) but I hate the heat! I do love when it's about 60/70. The kind of temp where I can just wear jeans and a T shirt and sandals! :-) Today DH and I are headed out to dinner with a stop first at Lord & Taylor since they sent me a $30 credit for some unknown reason. I figured I should go see what I can get, maybe some sandals for the summer because I do love sandals!

This great penguin is by Imaginisce and can be found here. This layout is based on Beate's weekend sketch. I used bright, fun colors that sparkle from a DCWV stack pack. The pink center is SU's Regal Rose (I believe). I colored in this guy using Prismacolor markers and added white flock to his body to make him appear "fuzzy". But I know penguins have feathers! Ok fine! But in pictures and even ones I have seen at zoos and aquariums it doesn't always look like feathers because they are matted down. So I think my flock and fuzziness works! Don't mock me. LOLOLOL! (just teasing). I also added some Stickles to his nose, and ice pop! Gotta love the stickles.

Anyhoo, in the end I think this guy is pretty darn cute. Great stamp, there is even a Mrs. Penguin! You definitely will want to check out these great affordable stamps at Mothers and Daughters Creations!

Till later....
