Growing in Unity Day #2

Hello and welcome to my Day 2 of Growing in Unity!  This week is the birthday week for my kids.  I have twins a boy and girl turning 9 on Saturday!  9! I can't believe it!  Originally I was thinking of making a birthday theme all week but that didn't pan out exactly.

So here is a chickie birthday card for today:

I used the itty bitty called "Hey Birthday Chick".  I embossed a panel for the background using a Stamping Up embossing folder.  I used a simple water color set for the coloring.  I definately like using water colors to color because it's so much easier than dealing with markers.  I know I need more practice to make it look amazing but for now it's working out fine for me.

Be sure to leave me a comment for your chance to win some Unity goodies!  Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Loving your card! I'm just starting to get into watercolors, I really love everyone's work but kind of scared to dive in myself.

I love to use watercolors! You have better control for shading. A great tip I learned in a workshop is to always leave some white space when you watercolor- like where the light would hit. Gives it more depth instead of coloring something in solid. Your card looks great!
