Summer Fun

Happy Monday! I know not the best day of the week, but I hope everyone had a fantastic Easter weekend. We had a very low key Easter with my little guy getting sick yesterday evening. Good think it was just a little stomach bug that didn't last too long.
While at Michael's last week I picked up some of those wooden doll pins so I can wrap up all my loose ribbon by color. In that section at Michaels I found all those crafty, "paper mache" boxes and hanging ornaments. I am not sure if calling them "paper mache" is correct or not. But they are 3D type hanging "ornaments" (sorry that is the best word I can come up with). I saw one in the shape of a shirt and I thought summer and the cool stamps and paper from Mothers & Daughters Creations.

First I painted the edges white with acrylic paint. I then cut out the shape from this awesome summer paper by Imaginisce called "Cool Pool Chatter" found here. This I left very simple because I love the paper. So I added a cool silk flower also from Mothers & Daughters and since I love glitter so much I added a yellow glitter brad to the middle by Making Memories. I added some gems to the bottom of the shirt as well sorry you can't see them that well I took the picture at an angle to show the dimension.

Once I finished this I thought little shirt note cards would be soo cute. So I used this shirt as my template for little note cards. These cute cards used SU paper (Certaintly Celery and Groovy Guava) as well as Imaginisce "Cool Pool Chatter". The cool flip flops, popsicles and sentiment are from "A Shore Thing Collection" by Imaginisce also found here. And because I have to I added Stickles to the flip flops and popsicles. I used a Marvy punch for the flowers in the corner and added a flower brad.

Thanks for stopping by. I'm off now to work on some challenges and will be back with some more awesome things from Mothers and Daughters. I'm also exepcting some new Rileys and a Hanna this week so I hope to have time to play.

Till later...

Maria - these are so awesome! What a creative idea, especially making the little note cards to match! I really love them - great job!! I'm sorry I haven't kept up with commenting lately - I normally try to do that but things have been so strange and hectic lately. I did want to let you know that mom finally got your picture up on the website along with some of your cards - thanks so much for your patience!
