Valentine's Goodie Box and Card

Here it is the last challenge for Mothers and Daughters (challenges posted on the blogs for the DT members). This final challenge was Jennifer's and it was to make a small box and a card using a simple sketch. I was intimidated by the box, because in the past I didn't have much luck making these boxes. However, I was pleasantly surprised at the way it turned out and I'm happy with it. I decided in honor of Valentine's Day I would go with that theme and make the box and a matching card. I did not even use a stamp on this one, I hope that is ok. I had a bunch of Valentine's paper that I got at Target and the glittery cupid is from Target. The great puffy heart I picked up at Party city as well as the glittery heart cutout inside the box. I wanted to put some treats in the box but didn't have any in the house and didn't get a chance to buy some. I prettied it up with some tulle inside and added more hearts for fun. The ribbon is from Michaels and I added some heart brads as well.

After working on this project I do think I need to get a good scoring tool, perhaps the Score Pal. I have heard alot of great things about that one. So we shall see, maybe there will be more boxes to come. :-)

I was going to post this tomorrow but heck why not post it now! If I have time I may work on another card for Lynda's template challenge, but we'll see....
