So you all are familiar with Ali Edwards December Daily right? I have been thinking about starting one but wasn't sure. Then last week the amazing Unity DT showed us what they started for their daily and I was inspired.

SO, here is the cover of my daily:

I had a small chipboard album in my stash which is 6x6 so I used the covers. I'm calling my book "Season of blessings 2010" because I know I won't keep up with a real daily and I wanted to start mine around Thanksgiving. So instead of Dec 1 - 25 everyday, I'm going with Thanksgiving to New Years and pick random days to cover. Does that make sense?

Here are some of my basic inside blank pages, including a few primed canvas pages!

The paper I used on my cover is from Best Creations and my flowers are made from a silky fabric from Joannes using the a burnt edge technique. My inside pattern papers are from Memory Box and the solids are SU and Gina K. Designs.

Treehouse Challenge Thursday

Just Us Girls Saturday Challenge - Technique Week

It's Saturday and that means another fun challenge with JUST US GIRLS! This week our challenge is to make a gatefold card! LOVE these cards so much fun! You can find a simple tutorial on SCS HERE. Very simple and even easier with a score pal! Seriously I didn't know what those little dots where for! LOL! I need a Dummies Lesson for the score pal!

Alrighty peeps I made another Unity Christmas ornament this week. For this one I started with a wooden piece (unfinished wood) in the shape of a bell from Michael's. I covered with some Christmas paper and used some glossy modge podge over which gives it shine. I used the mittens from the Oct KOTM for my piece. I stamped it twice and the second time ran it through the swiss dots embossing folder. Cut the mittens out and added them using dimensionals.

This week with Halloween over I've been thinking about Christmas. And I decided to make an ornament for the Unity Addicts "Uncard" challenge for this week. You can find all the details HERE.

I made a pretty simple one using the cute owl from the August kit of the month. The ornament is actually a plastic one that I found at Micheal's. This is perfect with 2 four year olds running around! I picked up a few of them in hopes I will make more. I put that fake plastic "snow" that you can buy by the bagful inside, added a glitter ribbon to the top and the owl. My picture may not pick it up well but there are glitter stars on the ornament. Also at Micheal's I found a sheet of stickers in holiday shapes. They are double sided so that you put it on something peel back the blue layer and add some glitter, flock etc. Fun stuff.

I used images from the Something Sweet , Christmas Nested Sentiments & Verse as well as a frame from Christmas Nested Frames.

Here I used a sentiment from Christmas Nested Sentiments & Verse and the frame from Christmas Nested Frames. I stamped using Memento Black and colored with Copics. The cardstock is from Stampin Up.

Here is the goodie jar:

My image is from the Something Sweet set.. I cut out the scallops and circles using nesties & colored with Copics.. The glitter bow is one of those littlel bow "ornaments" that you can get at Michael's.
