Just Us Girls Color Challenge

It's Saturday and time for another JUST US GIRLS challenge! This week its color challenge week and check out those amazing colors in the logo above! Super fun!

Onto a challenge I played in:

This week's Splitcoast color challenge is called "White Island Pool". The actual SU colors are: White, Island Indigo,Pool Party.

So those are the SU in colors which I actually do not have :-( So I picked out other SU colors that I hope are close enough. I used Pacific Point Blue and Bliss blue. No one go and compare actual paper though ok?

Here is what I came up with using the {ippity} kit called Where you should be:

I added some black lace ribbon just because. I hope that is not against the color challenge rules! LOL! That fabulous ribbon is from Creating is Fun! I'm happy to report Martha from Creating is fun has asked me to be a part of her Design Team! WOO HOO! {ippity} Chick Challenges First Sketch

It's time for the very first CHICK CHALLENGE!

I used the kit Thanks for all Things. I took a different look at this sketch and decided to use that design on a regular card base. Not sure if that is what the sketch designer had in mind but figured hey what the heck here is my take.

{ippity} fun with the SCS sketch

This morning I had time to play along with the Splitcoaststampers Stampers weekly sketch challenge! I pulled out 2 of my favorite (well they all are really) {ippity} kits: New Season, New Wonder and Music of the Heart.

This is the sketch:



Here is what I came up with for this week's sketch:

I used Stampin Up card stock and pattern papers by Basic Grey. I stamped the pear 3 times (using Memento Dew Drops to create the color) and cut it out. I thought it would be fun to adhere in the middle panel. The middle pear is on dimensionals as is the middle panel. I love the colors so perfect for fall.

{ippity} Linky Monday and Bling and Sparkle Challenge

There is a new {ippity} challenge up on the {ippity} blog calling for bling and sparkle. I played along this week using the kit from the June release called New Season, New Wonder. This kit is filled with bold fruit images. Solid stamps that are perfect for all sorts of wonderful looks.

Here is what I came up with for the challenge:

I used the orange slice for mine and created a background panel. Lately I have been LOVING orange and yellow together. So fun and fresh! These colors have been wonderful as backgrounds in my art journals. I used Memento dew drops to create the multicolor effect. I used Dandelion and Tangelo together. Now for the sparkly slice of orange I used the same Memento colors but first I stamped into perfect medium by Ranger, then stamped the colors randomly and finally added some clear embossing powder. This fun sparkly slice is popped up on some dimensionals. I then decided this card needed bling so I added some orange bling in the corner. I thought the yellow ribbon pulled it together. The sentiment "sweet" is one of the great ones in this kit.

Friends with Flair Friday

TGIF and welcome to another Friends with Flair Friday!!! This week I want to share a page spread I made using {ippity} stamps. Be sure to swing on by the UNITY BLOG to see everyone participating today!

I created the girl in the "She Art" style. But check out her skirt, that is using my {ippity} stamps and muslin! Doesn't she look cute? The second page I created a pocket and put a distressed style tag in it. My words I wrote using pen and ink.

I really enjoy playing around in a journal. There are no rules you can just do what you want and who cares how it comes out. I like to use it as a chance to explore or experiment. I used acrylic paints in my background and sprayed with glimmer mists. All my stamping is done using Stazon inks, except for the tag where I used Distress inks.

The girl is based on the "She Art" class I took with Christy Tominlinson. Her skirt is made out of white muslin material in which I stamped {ippity} stamps on it using Stazon inks. Then I pleated it together as you see and used the Tim Holtz tiny attacher to keep it together.

Ippity Tuesday

Have you been over to My Unity Place yet? You need to hop on over there because there is alot of fun Unity/{ippity} stuff going on. Currently they have 4 scrapbooking challenges for National Scrapbook Day which was this past Saturday. But there is still time to participate HERE.

One of the challenges was to use a black and white photo so with my {ippity} Stamps here is what I came up with:

I thought some Tim Holtz papers would work well with a black and white photo so that is what I used underneath the photo, just a random collage of papers. The text paper being from Stampin Up. The {ippity} kit used here is called Love in Return.

Did you know the line of {ippity} by Unity is getting a revamp and it's wonderful. There will be only about 50 Unity Endorsed {ippity} chicks and I am one of them!! SO if you love UNITY I promise you will love {ippity}.

I will have my {ippity} kits in my Etsy Shop TYKATSUPPLIES. So be sure to watch out for that. Here on my blog I also have an {ippity} page.
