Growing in Unity Day 3

It's Wednesday and my Day 3 of Growing in Unity!  I'm thrilled to be featured on the Unity Blog if you want to check it out.

Today I decided to make a mixed media canvas piece.  This piece is on canvas 6x12 canvas board.  I wanted to make something somewhat springtime and bright.

I also used Mod Podge Dimensional to get the shine and dimension on the flowers.

Unity Friends with Flair

Hey there happy Friday!  I'm running behind today so this will be brief.  So I've been watching Tracy Weinzapfel's Mixed Media Mondays, it's a lot of fun to watch these live "events" and she inspired me to use watercolors.  I never really did, kind of wanted to so finally I just did it.  Just really playing around for fun.

I decided to just draw what was on my desk in front of me and color it with watercolors.  This is what I came up with:

I know I need lots of practice and my never get that wonderful at it, but it's just fun even if I don't end up with a masterpiece.  Definitely outside my comfort zone so it's a good thing!  The words are of course Unity Stamps.

Just Us Girls Inspiration Challenge

It's photo inspiration week at Just Us Girls!  Check out this great photo of Valentine prettiness!  I went with the kraft/red colors and hearts.

Here is what I came up with:

I used the Unity Itty Bitty called You Always. I used my Cricut to cut out the heart and embossed the hearts using a Hearts Embossing folder.  I paper pieced his wings and used the pink at you Spica pen.

Friends with Flair Friday

Hi there! TGIF and time for Friends with Flair Friday!!  So Trader Joe's not long ago came out with K-Cups, cool right?  I pick a box up every time I'm in Trader Joes.  So I decided to make use of these boxes!

Here are 2 boxes I made recently.  I shared this one during a blog hop for New Years but in case you missed it here it is again:

Used more shiny pretty embellishments from Webster Pages.  This holds my cute little Stella & Dot mini look books well!

So I didn't end up using stamps on this card much at all.  The "Love" is a stamp and it is a Unity stamp for sure though.  Simple and sweet!

It's been a while since I've posted for Unity FWF!  Things have been super busy with the kids activities and starting my Stella & Dot business.  But I'm working on getting back to stamping and journalling regularly so I can post often!

Today I'm sharing a very super simple boys birthday card I made for my son who didn't want to make one.  I only had 5 mins to do something so that is why it super simple.

We were in a hurry other wise that green section would have gotten something :-) The  Twine is from the Twinery and the sold card stock is Stampin Up and the pattern card stock I believe is Basic Grey.

Friends with Flair Friday

Hey TFIG!  Ok so today I'm sharing a tag I made during the Unity tag week and I realized I never did share it here on my blog!  So what better time than on Friends with Flair Friday!!!

I created this tags using some Dylusions Sprays and various stencils in the background.  I colored this cute guy using markers and paper pieced the presents but added glitter for the hat, snow and buttons! This snowman is from the Unity Itty Bitty called Gifts Galore!

Just Us GIrls Challenge

Welcome to Saturday and another Just Us Girls Color challenge! I've been MIA lately and haven't stamped much in the last month either. But I began a new business venture that I am excited about as a Stylist for Stella & Dot! It's a fantastic line of costume jewelry with 1/2 the line under $50. Anyhow, I realized that I haven't stamped in so long and thought my stamps were starting to think I was cheating on them with jewelry :-)
