Saturday Sketch Time!

It's Saturday and another awesome sketch from Miss Lauren. Here is this week's sketch.

Here is what I came up with. I used the Holiday Defined set by Clear & Simple Stamps.

I really loved how this one turned out. Unfortunately the weather was bad here today so I could not get a nice photo outside. The flowers in used are Prima Flowers. I have to say I am so loving my Primas I got a while ago. I got a big bucket of them for 1/2 price when a local scrapbook store went out of business.

I hope you will play along with Lauren and her awesome sketch. Be sure to swing by the rest of her Sketch DT to see what everyone else came up with.

Lauren's Weekly Challenge

As you may know each week Lauren Meader gives us an awesome sketch challenge to participate in. This week there is a sketch but we don't have to focus on the sketch necessarily. One of our fellow Saturday sketch team member, Alicia's son is very ill. My heart breaks for them. So this week we are making cards to send to her son Ethan.

I had this card in my stash for sometime, I think it was based on one of Lauren's previous sketches from back in October. But I always loved it and never used it. I think Dinosaurs are perfect for a little boy so I think I will send this to him.

If you are interested in sending something to Ethan let me know. Be sure to swing by Lauren's Blog for more inspiration and this week's "real" sketch.

Thanks for stopping by.

Clear & Simple Stamps Preview and Saturday Sketch Time

It's Saturday and time for another awesome sketch by Lauren Meader. Here is the sketch:

Alrighty so I "messed" with it a bit. I decided to flip this sketch on it's side for it to work for me :-) I hope Lauren doesn't mind. And yes I know I left a "piece" out of the middle. It's funny because I print the sketches so I can have them at my desk. This printed blurry for me (probably my ink needs to be replaced) but I went with what I thought I saw instead of going back to the computer to check the file. Anyhoo, here is what I came up with, I do love how it turned out though..

Check out this awesome Tulip, this is a sneak peek at what is coming in the March release at Clear & Simple Stamps. Get ready for spring!

Stay tuned there will be more sneak peeks to come. Also if you love swaps we have a fun ATC swap going on with the gals fo Clear & Simple Stamps, come join us in the PCP forum to sign up.

Be sure to swing by the other members of Lauren's Saturday Sketch team to see what they cooked up with this challenge.

That's it for now.

Weekly Sketch Challenge

I'm a little late today with Lauren's weekly sketch challenge. But late is better than never right? Check out Lauren's awesome sketch HERE.

I used one of the great gals from the Clear & Simple Stamps BFF set as well as a banner and saying from the Banner of News set. I ended up using all the same pattern paper (DCWV). I used the swiss dots cuttlebug embossing folder for my background. All my layers, except the first one are up on pop dots. I love dimension and pop dots are awesome.

Be sure to swing by the blogs of the other members of Lauren's sketch team.

Weekly Sketch Challenge

Are you ready for a new year of fun sketches from Lauren? Here is today's fantastic sketch.

I have to admit those little squares through me for a loop at first, LOL! I pulled out this set I had forever from Cat's Pajamas that I never inked up. It's a cute Valentine themed one. Even though I was thrown for a loop in the end I think it worked out nicely. I used a mix of scraps for this card actually. I think the pattern paper was from last year Target's dollar spot and the pink was just in my stash from an unknown source. I used the scallop circle nesties to cut out the circle.

There you have simple and sweet.

Saturday Sketch Time

I hope everyone had a fantastic Holiday. I sure did, I'm still tired. Last week I missed Lauren's wonderful sketch but I'm back with this week's.

This week I pulled out my stamps by Queen Kat Designs. This great butterfly is from the Friends set.

I used pattern papers by Making Memories and solids by SU. I trimmed the butterfly using my yellow glitter spica pen. This was a super fun sketch to work with. I hope you will try it also. Don't forget to stop by the blogs of the other Saturday Sketch Girls as well.

Saturday Sketch Challenge

It's Saturday again and time for another sketch challenge from Lauren. Check out this week's awesome sketch.

I used some Unity stamps for this challenge. I used the little flowers from Ginormous Cupcakes. And the little flower in the top scallop is from the kit Fanciful Dots. I cut the scalloped edge on the bottom using the Fiskars scallop punch and I embossed it with my Cuttlebug. All the cool flowers are heat embossed with my Ranger "stream" embossing powder.

I hope that you enjoyed my take on this week's sketch. Be sure to swing by the blogs of the other sketch girls as I know they will have something great to show you for some Saturday inspiration.

Next up is Lauren's weekly sketch challenge:
Here is this week's installment of Lauren's weekly sketch challenge. This is the awesome sketch and here is what I did with it. I decided to flip it. I used Build a Snowman by Queen Kat Designs. My papers are from a glitter stack pack by DCWV. I thought it would be funky to stamp the snowman right on the snowflake paper and cut him out. The "create" sentiment is from the QKD set called Friends Forever. I punched out the snowflake using the Fiskars snowflake punch and adding a glittery dot to it.

Be sure to stop by Lauren's weekly sketch team to see what they cooked up for this week's sketch.

Lauren's Weekly Sketch Challenge

Another week has passed and it's again time for another awesome sketch challenge by Lauren. Here is this week's awesome sketch. I wanted to use my cute dinosaurs by Queen Kat Designs so I pulled them out his week. I stamped them on pattern paper (Basic Grey Archaic). All my solids are by SU. The cute images seen in the little squares on bottom are from a sheet in the Basic Grey pack that I just cut out to find accordingly. I didn't have a sentiment for this so I printed it out on the computer and viola a sentiment all ready to go!

Be sure to swing by Lauren's Blog for her awesome creation and the rest of the Saturday Sketch Team blogs (all listed on my sidebar).

Taylor still has some BLOG CANDY going on through tonight at 9pm!!! RUN DON'T WALK to her blog because you won't want to miss out on this opportunity.

Have you heard Queen Kat is getting ready to celebrate a birthday on November 19, get ready for some fun. Keep your eyes peeled as I might start celebrating early...... :-)

That's all for now!! Happy Saturday!!!

Sketch Challenges

Here is Lauren's Sketch challenge for this Saturday. Pretty basic and simple and you know how beautiful Lauren does simple. I decided that I wanted to use my Queen Kat Designs stamps for the sketch challenge so this is what I came up with, not so much simple and elegant as Lauren's card, but I thought it still worked ok.

Be sure to swing by the blogs of the other Saturday Sketch girls (links listed on my side bar) as I'm sure they will have some super fun creations to share.

This second creation was for this past week's sketch challenge at SCS. The images are also by Queen Kat Designs.

Sorry for the quick post today but I have lots to do.

Saturday means it's time for a sketch...

Yes every Saturday Miss Lauren has a wonderful sketch for us. This week though she has a HUGE announcement so there won't be a sketch. :-( What will her announcement be? I can't wait to hear about it. In the meantime Mackenzie one of the gals on Lauren's sketch team tossed out a great sketch to work with this week.

I decided to pull out these great "friendly" ghosts from Serendipity for this sketch. Yes I know I've been doing alot of Halloween cards but heck it's October and I have these awesome stamps so....

Here is my take on the sketch. I embossed the ghosts in black and cut them out. I created layers using these awesome pattern papers by My Little Yellow Bicycle and the purple background one with the bats is by Debbie Mumm.

Well that's all for now.

Saturday Sketch Time

Once again it's Saturday and that means Lauren's awesome sketch! Here is the sketch this week. Lots of fun circles. I decided to use my witch from the Unity Kit Oh Spooky Day. Here is my version of Lauren's sketch. I colored the witch with copics and cut her out with my nesties and used the SU scallop punch for the back. I added stickles for the glitter. My background paper is by K & Company. Check out the cool black circles and how shiny bumpy they look. Unfortunately I'm not sure who it is by but I did pick it up as a sheet at AC Moore. My ribbon up top is by American Crafts.

I hope you will try Lauren's sketch, let us know if you do. Also be sure to swing by the blogs of the other girls on Lauren's sketch team.

Well that's it for now. Thanks for stopping by.

Lauren's Weekly Sketch Time

Are you guys feeling fall yet? Ok maybe for those who live in the northeast at least. It's cold this morning and I love it! LOLOL!

It's Saturday again and that means another great sketch from Lauren. Here is the awesome sketch. Here is my take on her sketch.
I just received the Unity Kit of the Month yesterday and I had to incorporate it some how in my design. I used these cute little trees. I started with SU Really Rust. Then I pulled the glitter pattern paper from a DCWV stack pack. I created the scallop with a Fiskar scallop punch and cut out the circles with nesties.
This is a quick one, have lots to do this morning. But be sure to stop by the other girls on Lauren's sketch team to see how they interpreted this awesome sketch.

Sketch Time!!

It's Saturday again and that means sketch time with Lauren! WOO HOO! LOL! Here is this week's awesome sketch as if you would expect anything less from Miss Lauren:

I decided to use my Unity Stamps, shocker I know! :) I picked a kit I had not inked up yet "A Dad of All Kinds". Here is my take on this week's sketch:

I colored with copics added Stickles and used my Cuttlebug for the background. I had to color in the beer green for Heineken since that is my DH favorite. This came out rather simple but I liked how it turned out in the end.

Come play along with us. If you play along and post to SCS pls use mytimeness05 as your keyword.

Lauren's Weekly Sketch - TAKE 2

Here is Lauren's Sketch this week. When I first looked at it I just assumed it was the white section not the black. Yes I know what they say about assuming! LOLOL!!! So my previous post is what I came up with using that sketch. Ok, hey I change things up make sure everyone is paying attention. Maybe I should not have said anything and see who noticed! LOL!

Since I annoyed myself with that craziness, I decided to play again! Here is my next version of this week's sketch.

I used Unity's Kit called Bitty Christmas Tags for this one. Hey they are starting to put Christmas things out in the stores so why not jump on the bandwagon. My pattern paper is by Debbie Mumm and I used SU Vanilla as the base. The CB folder that I used is from last year but I love these snowflakes. The left side panel and image are on pop dots.

So remember if you play along and upload to SCS use keyword mytimeness04 and be sure to stop by the blogs of the other girls (see my sidebar) as I'm sure they are not koo koo.

So there you have it! LOL! I have more things to share with you late tonight or tomorrow. Limelight Papercrafts is having a little contest so I made something for that. Did you know that they carry Unity Stamps! And Serendipity has their new fall/winter line out now you can bet there are some awesome images there.

Stay Tuned.....

Lauren's Weekly Sketch Challenge

Here is what I started and finished with Lauren's weekly sketch. It was after I finished I thought about the sketch and thought I think I totally interpreted it wrong! HUM....

Here is the sketch:
So I was working on this late last night and got my post ready but then started thinking about the sketch. I interpreted it as the white section being the card for some reason and the black just being a background not part of the card. Yeah I'm koo koo! LOLOL!!!
So anyhow here is my Riley. I will try and play again later though! At least this Riley card fits well with the Hanna "fall" challenge going on.
I used SU and Debbie Mumm papers. My ribbon is from Joannes and I used the Fiskars Pumpkin punch for my pumpkin cutouts.
Be sure to check out the other sketch girls I'm sure they are not koo koo!
Thanks!

Ready for Fall?

Can you believe it's Labor Day weekend and the summer is "unofficially" over? I can't. It's amazing how time flies. This weekend we are going out for your 8 year anniversary even though it's Sept 9. And of course we will have a BBQ on Monday with some friends. So are you ready for fall?

When I saw Lauren's sketch for this week I thought of these butterflies instantly! I got the Cuttlebug step step butterfly set. I forget what it is called exactly and I think its fairly new. It comes with a die to cut the butterfly shape and 4 embossing folders so that you can can emboss the butterfly using 4 different patterns. I picked this up in July at a stamp convention and now I'm finally using it. But I love how it worked out. The large butterfly in the middle is the Cuttlebugged one and the two smaller ones were created using a Martha Stewart punch. I just got all punchy this week! LOLOL!! NO STAMPS!!! I know it's crazy! I started with Vanilla (SU) as my base. The cool background paper I found in my stash of stuff and I'm not sure who it is by. The brown is Choclate Chip (SU) and green is Mellow Moss (SU). I punched the butterfly from a glitter paper pack by DCWV. And the cool little embellishments are "The Robin's Eggs" "crystals".

Here is yet another fall card for you. Every Thursday is HIP HOP Thursday at Unity in the SCS forums. It's super rockin, if you haven't checked it out it's a must! This past Thursday the girls had a challenge for fun to make a card with buttons! Are you button challenged? I used to love using buttons but haven't as much lately. Here is my button card using the Unity Kit Giggle Groove. If you love challenges and love Unity Stamps then also be sure to check out the SCS forum each Wednesday for a new fun challenge. This week's challenge was to case one of the DT members, here was my card.

Well that's if for today. Off I go to look at twin beds for my babies!! OH MY! I can't believe they are 2 1/2.

Till later.....

Unity Stamp Co Tuesday Inspiration!

I'm up on the UNITY BLOG today sharing some cards I made using 2 stamp sets! I used the February background of the month called   as...
