Unity Friends With Flair Friday

WOW, what a week! I can't believe it's Friday!! Did you check out the new releases yesterday? Amazing stuff! I love the Cosmo Cricket sets! Can't wait to create with them. I had an absolute blast being a part of the Unity team for their Anniversary bash, it's sad to see the week end. Thank you Angela and Crew for letting me be a Unity chick for the festivities.

Today I wanted to share with you a layout I did using my sketch from Monday's Sketch challenge in the Unity SCS forum. There is still time to play along.

I used images from Unity Store Kit of the month Super Sweet and Stuck on You as well as the 2009 Collection called 100% Happiness, also a store kit. I picked a funny but cute pic of my babies when they were about 5 months and then around 3.

Be sure to visit the Unity Blog today for the list of participants for Friends with Flair Friday.

Thanks for stopping by!

Treehouse Challenge Thurdsay

This week's challenge is brought to us by DT member Gloria Morizen and it is to make a Birthday Card with a "faux" element.

Here is what I did using Hugs and Stiches. I guess the images alone can fill the faux part of the challenge but I did add Faux stitchest to the bottom.

I went with the clean and simple look. I layerd the flower and butterfly wings, then added some Stickles to them for some glitz.

Be sure to swing on by the Treehouse Stamps blog today for more inspiration from the design team! Come play along with us.

The Unity Celebration Continues

Today there is yet another blog hop featuring the soon to be released set called Merry, Merry, Merry and the Unity Blog has a sneak peek at the next kit of the month!

Today I wanted to share with you a card I made for the 2nd Unity Challenge - Unity is Going to the Birds. The challenge is to use a tree and bird! That's not hard with Unity images that is for sure. Here is what I came up with:

I used SU Olive Green and Basic Grey pattern papers. I paper pieced the "buttons" on the tree and the little birdies!

Sorry to be so short have to hop now! Be sure to swing by the Unity SCS forum for chatting and games all day as well as a new challenge posted today!

Unity Anniversary Blog Hop

Welcome to Day 2 of the Unity Birthday/Anniversary Celebration! All week long there will be fun and games! Thursday will be the big hip hop release day! LOTS of new stuff coming. I am so excited to be a part of this celebration. I can't tell you how excited I was when I got a mail from Jimmi asking me to be a part of the fun!

The first place you should be sure to have stopped at (if you haven't) is the Unity Blog for all the fun details and info! I got the awesome kit called Heart Times to play with. I decided to make a project with it as well as a card.

I made a fun little "Get Well" box gift set. (This box is a template by Lauren Meader) So there are some "get well" items in this box including tissues and antibacterial liquid but I also included some yummy chocolate covered gummy bears (MY FAV), jellly beans and some red hots.

Check it out:

Here are a few close ups of the inside pieces:

Next up I have another creation using my sketch challenge posted yesterday in the SCS forum! How cool is that? The guest DT members were asked to host challenges during the week. There will be another one posted today! There are some awesome prizes being offered so be sure to get your Unity Stamps ready to play along!

Unity Anniversary BASH Begins!

Unity Stamp Company

Today is the start of a week long Unity Anniversary Bash! Are you ready to party?

I was so honored to be asked to help celebrate and be on the Unity Anniversary Guest DT! I have been hanging out with the Unity peeps since the start 2 years ago! I can remember being on vacation at the beach but still finding time at night to hang during the Unity release party, I think it was then I ordered my first bundle of fun!

Today I get to host the first challenge of the week and I have a fun sketch for you. The challenge is called "The Martini Sketch". Why you may ask? Because it's a sketch with a twist, get it? The twist is to add a ribbon and 3 buttons to your creation.

Here is the sketch:
And here is my take:

Be sure to come on by the Unity forum where all the fun will be taking place.

I'll be back tomorrow as a part of the fun DT blog hop!

That's it for now!

Hip Hop Unity Thursday

Happy Earth Day!

It's Thursday which means the Unity peeps and friends are doing a little hip hoppin in the Unity SCS Forum today! Are you ready for the fun and fabulous Unity anniversary week next week?? It's going to be a week of fun and games and guess what?? I GET TO HOP WITH THE UNITY GALS AS A SPECIAL UNITY ANNIVERSARY GUEST DESIGNER! This fun announcement will be on the Unity blog today. I got a fun kit to work with for the hop next week and here is a very small sneak peak of one of the images for you:

Anyhow in honor of Earth Day I decided to use Eco Chic for a card today.

I used kraft as my base which I thought was an "earthy" cardstock to use. Check out the "patterned" paper on the right, that is actually a recycled item. It was part of the bag that my Unity store kit of the month came in! How cool is that? Figured it was a cool bag to recycle for Earth Day.

Be sure to swing on by the Unity blog and the Unity SCS forum for lots of fun stuff! And remember the 2nd anniversary celebration begins Monday April 26! I will be blog hopping on Tuesday but will post some fun Unity creations throughout the week to celebrate!

Ippity Monday

It's Monday and time for another Ippity Blog Hop! For all the participants see the Ippity Blog.

This week I decided to go a different route. I had pack of ATC cards in my stash and thought it would be fun to create some using Ippity. I made three here is what I came up with:

For my backgrounds I used Glimmer mists and color washes by Ranger. These little guys would be perfect to add to a card or use as a tag for a gift. For these I used 3 different Ippity Sets: Love In Return, Music of My Heart and Where you Should Be. Be sure to visit my Ippity page to get yours today.

It's Saturday again and time for another Just Us Girls Challenge. This week I get to be the hostess! Check out this beautiful bedroom which is my inspiration for this week's color challenge:

So your colors this week are lovely pastels: Lavender, Yellow, Pink, Green (optional) (Gina K Designs color reference: Innocent Pink, Lovely Lavender, Lemon Drop, Creme De Menthe). Now there is a little fun twist to this week's challenge. This week we are celebrating the birthday of one of our fabulous DT members:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LISA!!!!!

So the twist is to use the colors in the challenge and make a birthday card.

How to play: You need to upload your project using this week's challenge to your online blog or public photo gallery. Leave a link that goes directly to your project in our Inlinkz form at the bottom of this post. If you upload to online galleries, please also use the keyword or tag, JUGS29. Here is what I came up with:

I used Unity's April Store kit of the month called: Super Sweet & Stuck on You. Awesome images as always. I picked this owl to use. I paper pieced him, added some stickles to his nose. My layout is this week's sketch at Friday Sketchers. My solids are by Gina K Designs and the pattern papers are by Memory Box. The sentiment is not Unity I had a random sentiment in my stash that I thought worked well.

Here is a close up:

Gotta love layers! LOL!

Friends with Flair Friday with Unity

Unity Stamp Company

Here we go it's Friday again, can you believe it! And it's Friends With Flair day with the Unity peeps! First off be sure to check out THIS POST FOR SOME BLOG CANDY! I won't be picking a winner until late so you have lots of time. I will be pulling some goodies from my stamping stash and that may include Unity!

Yesterday at the start of the Hip Hop Jimmi posted a fun sketch challenge. I actually had time during the day so I pulled out a card in a jiffy. Here is the fabulous sketch:

Here is what I did with it:

I used a the Unity Store kit called: 100% Happiness (2009 Collection). My solid paper is by Gina K and the pattern paper is by Stampin Up. The flowers in the corner are from Prima.

Here is my second creation for today. For this one I was going with a clean look, which is something I find hard since I love layers and embellishments.

For this I used two different Unity Kits: Butterfly - Little Reminders (Dec Kit of the month) and the sentiment from Friendship, Love, Miracles (Sept kit of the month)

Be sure to swing by the Unity Blog for the full list of participants today and hop along!

Ippity Blog Hop

The super fabby Bonnie Rose has organized an awesome Ippity Blog Hop for today! Be sure to swing by her blog for the fulll list of participates!

In case you are not familiar with Ippity they are a sister company of the Unity Stamp Co. I have loved Unity from before they "opened" their doors and now they offer a rep based business opportunity to sell Ippity Stamps. Ippity is the same fabulous quality as Unity and they are unique because you can not get them from any store only through an Ippity Chick as myself!

I have a page here on my blog dedicated to selling these awesome stamps.

Here is my creation for today's hop. I did this week's Ippity challenge posted in the SCS forum which is to make a Money card/holder.

Here is the inside of the holder. Ok I wouldn't really give just one dollar but that is all I had to use for my picture. I used images from Love In Return and Music of My Heart.

Close Up:

Today I am offering some BLOG CANDY, I will pull some stuff from my own stash of stamping supplies! Just leave me a message and tell me what your favorite Ippity or Unity set is! I will draw a random winner from all comments on Friday!
