Scrap Pink @ Momento

Yesterday I attended the scrap pink event at Momento. It is a weekend long event but I was only able to attend for one day. Cheryl Mazzetti was there with her awesome enthusiasm teaching two classes. The first class was using an awesome chipboard fall leaf set designed by Cheryl for Magistical Memories. The second classes was using a "Magical" chipboard set to create a great haunted house book. The book is from Creative Imaginations Bare Elements line with the awesome wizard paper from the new Wizard line.

Momento is a fablous place to attend a scrap event. I can't wait to go again! Now I need to get hold of a plain Magistical Memories castle to create a princess book for my Kaitlyn.

Cards for Alexa

There is a little girl I know who is in the hospital. This brave, beautiful little girl has been battling Lukemia. She has been in remission which is fablous but recently caught a cold. I am going to send her some well wishes. If anyone is interested in sending well wishes via a card pls let me know. I will collect some and mail them all to her. I think receiving some great handstamped (or even store bought if you chose) would be wonderful. Here is the link to her story: Alexa's Story

Carving Rubber Stamps?!?!

Yes I did say carving rubber stamps. A while ago I purchased one of those speedball carve your own stamps set. I always wanted to draw something and "create" my own stamps. Yes I know there are companies that can take your drawing and create a nice rubber stamp, but I'm not that serious yet :-)

I've always enjoyed drawing since I was a kid. I used to draw the Archie comics. I copied them free hand but of course for my own personal fun of drawing. Recently with the insipration from one of my kids toys I drew this cute little turtle and carved him out into the rubber that I purchased some time ago. With that new stamp I created this card. I would love to hear what you think.

Pumpkins, Pumpkins

What is fall without Pumpkins? My favorite is Pumpkin Pie! Of course I love everything pumpkin flavored this time of the year.
The pumpkin stamp is from Stampin Up and the gold box around the middle pumpkin is a stamp from Starving Artistamps.

More Fall Fun

I'm still playing with these great stamps from Starving Artistamps. Their buck to reach a million is an excellent promotion. I LOVE the fall leaves I rec'd in my batch. Now where is that crisp fall weather?!! :-)

Sketch Time

Over at one of my favorite blogs, Lauren does a weekly Saturday sketch challenge. I decided to join the fun. I took my favorite new Starving Artistamps for this challenge. I liked my idea but in the end I realized that the black background stamp was a bit too dark and didn't work that well. However, instead of wasting the whole thing I went with it anyhow.

New Starving Artistamps

Starving Artistamps is having a promotion to sell 1 million stamps and they are selling stamps for a buck a piece! Now, you can't decide what you get it's more of a "grab bag" sort of promotion. I ordered some and received them yesterday LOVE them! They sent me a couple of leaves which I've been in need of. I also rec'd a block "window"and tag type stamp. Then finally this really cool artsy type of horse.

The attached photo I started before I rec'd these great stamps so the base stamp is from Stampin Up and the top, embossed leaf is from Starving Artistamps. I can't wait to play with the others I rec'd.

Fall Frenzy

It's that time of the year when hopefully soon the leaves will start turning and it will get chilly outside. I love the chilly weather. I've started to work on some fall themed cards. This cute one uses the SU set (retired) Sweet Seasons. The picture may not reveal it that much but I used Crystal Effects on the pumpkins.

Glitter Fun

Oh what fun glitter can be on projects, add some sparkle! And of course it's messy! I always (as I'm sure everyone does) end up with glitter all over me, then I sparkle :-)

While at the Heirloom Convention I picked up a few bottles of the glitter glue. I know many different companies make them, Ranger being one. I also have some bottles from Gary M. Burlin & Co. So I had some fun making a couple of projects using my sparkly friends.

ONLINE GALLERY

I finally added some photos of my stamped creations to a snapfish gallery which I added as a link called Art Gallery.

Stamping Style

Recently I've had people ask what is your stamping style? That is a good question. I think it changes all the time. I started as an Stampin Up girl and probably mostly adapted the SU (if you can use that term) style. Probably described as simple, clean cut and layered. I have also been interested in more of a vintage style of stamping as well. Can you tell I'm not 100% the use of the proper style terms? There is probably no set use of words when it comes to style because everyone is different. I am so open to all the possiblites that stamping can bring.

Design Team Calls

I am pretty psyched working on a call for ATS (All That Scraps)It is a wonderful site for stampers and scrapbookers alike, a little something for everyone! What a wonderful opportunity that would be to be selected. Working on this made me think that I should add more photos to my blog, so I will also add a link to my stamping photo album. Why keep all my creations locked up in my computer? :-)

More Oxford Impressions

The background stamp is in fact a Stampin Up stamp but the bird is Oxford Impressions.

Oxford Impressions

These are a few pieces I created using stamps from Oxford Impressions.

ATC's New Stamp

I found this great stamp the other day! It is a solid stamp of 2 children (B/G), and they are facing the opposite way so all we see is their backs. It reminded me of my twins so I had to get it. I started using it to make a "series" of ATC cards.

Unity Stamp Co Tuesday Inspiration!

I'm up on the UNITY BLOG today sharing some cards I made using 2 stamp sets! I used the February background of the month called   as...
