Just Us Girls Template Challenge

It's great being back on the Royal Court at Queen Kat Designs and this time I'm working with the Amy Brown Fantasy images! These are fabulous fairy like images that rock. Every Wednesday I will be posting a new creation to the Whimsical Ink Sorority blog for Queen Kat Designs.

Fun with Queen Kat Designs

As I might have mentioned I'm a part of the Queen Kat Royal Court once again. I spent some time with them a while back and now after a leave I've returned! LOL! I will be working with the Amy Brown images and posting every Wednesday. I should be getting started with those images very soon but in the meantime I decided to pull out an older image from Queen Kat called Oriental Girl. Here is a fun card I made using her:

My background is a texutred embossing folder from Stampin Up. I love how it creates the perfect border. You may see this being used often! I colored using copics and layered the girl and the lantern on pop dots for dimension. Here is a close up:

Just Us Girls #71 - Spotlighting

This week the Just Us Girls challenge is a technique one and we are going to do some spotlighting. Andrea is our hostess this week and she picked a great technique. I haven't done this technique in so long that this was fun. I used a Unity stamp and this is what I came up with


The image is from the Unity January Kit of the Month and the flowers are Prima. The center one was a white flower and I used my Copic marker to color it purple.

Play Date Cafe Challenge

I played along again this week with the Play Date Cafe Challenge. Check out this awesome color combo:

When I first saw this I thought elegant card with fun rich colors. THEN I rec'd the new Stamps of Life set which is a cute set soo... I went with a cutesy card instead. This is perfect for a little one around springtime and Easter.

I couldn't decide if the second color was a purple shade, so I almost used a pomegranate but then saw some of the others who posted used purple so I went with it. Wanted to be sure to stay within the correct colors! I hope it works ok. LOL!
