Color Week at Just Us Girls!

It's color week with Just Us Girls!  Check out this beautiful picture that has our colors in it:

Here is what I came up with using sizzix dies and a stamp from Unity Stamps.

I wasn't quite sure how the colors would come together but not too bad.  I think I could have left out (or used a different color) the ribbon but what the heck.

Warm Fuzzies

Hey there! TGIF!  I made a simple winter themed card for Friends with Flair Friday and Merry Monday challenge.

Here is what I created!  I used a snowflake embossing folder from  Sizzix and a great snowman itty bitty from Unity Stamp Co.  I also used some Stampin Up white flock.

Just Us Girls

I'm up as hostess for this week's Just Us Girls Challenge and this week is Trend Week and the trend I picked is Mixed Media!

Here is my card:

I cut the tree using a sizzix die and pattern paper.  I used gloss gel and a tree stencil to create texture on the tree.  I couldn't quite capture it on camera but you can see the glossy trees on the tree.

I forgot to include it in the photo below but I used Wink of Stella on the middle flower.  It really does sparkle I tried my best to capture the glitter and shine.

Mixed Media Mojo - December Challenge!

Welcome December!  I can't believe it's the holiday season already!  This month we have a new challenge over at Mixed Media Mojo for the winter holidays with a twist of ornaments.  

Here is what I came up with:

A view photos of my work in progress:

 I started with a round plain paper ornament from Micheal's and covered it with christmas pattern papers.  I inked over it using archival inks by Ranger and punchenella.

 I cut the tree using a Sizzix Tree die and Tim Holtz grunge board, then cut it out using some Christmas papers.  Inked over it.

Then using punchanella and glossy gel I created this

Then I cut out the reindeer using the Tim Holtz alterations die

Mixed Media Card Challenge

Today also starts the December card challenge over at The Mixed Media Card Challenges!  This month's theme is Home and the optional element is Lace!

Here is what I came up with:

I started with some Ranger Watercolor paper and sprayed with some new sprays I got from Lindy's Stamp Gang.  Using a tree die from Ranger I cut a tree but used the negative cutout, not the actual tree image.  Sprayed through the opening to create the green tree in the background.  I outlined it in black ink and stamped over it. The house is a stamp from The Stamps of Life which I paper pieced. And the sentiment is from Unity Stamp Co. I mounted it on SU Cherry Coobler paper.

Just Us Girls

It's time for another Just Us Girls Challenge!

Here is what I came up with.  I used a sizzix christmas tree die to cute the tree out using some DCWV glitter paper.  I edged the tree using a gold marker.  The sentiment is from Unity Stamp Co and the sleigh in the upper left corner is a stamp from Michael's dollar bin and it's embossed in gold.

Owl I want for Christmas....

TGIF!!  Happy Friday!!

I have an owl creation for the new challenge that starts today over at the CRAFTING STATION CHALLENGE!  The challenge is Winter Holiday / Snow!

I went with Christmas and used the Christmas Owl from the set called Owl for You.

I used various pattern papers.  I colored the little guy and used stickles on his hat and belt for some glittery shine.

Just Us Girls Color Week

Hey there is Color Week at Just Us Girls!  The colors are Red, turquoise, gold or yellow and any neutrals!

Here is what I came up with:

The cutie pie snowman is from Unity Stamp Co along with the sentiment. The gold I used is from Stampin Up stamping glitter - Champagne Glass.  The polka dots paper is from a pack I got at Hobby Lobby from the Paper Studio.  I used Spellbinders nestablities to cut out the circles. And the ribbon I had in my stash just randomly.

Carvings Monday!

HI there!

Ok this past week I did carve a new stamp but didn't have time to create something with it.  But I wanted to share with you the carving:

I might try and clean him up a bit around the edges.  I kind of like the lines on his tie and sleeves so I might leave those.  I will have to create something with him soon!

Mixed Media Mojo November

Hey there!  Thanks to all who played along in last month's MIXED MEDIA MOJO challenge!  Our Mixed Media Mojo Diva for October is:  KEELEY!

Keeley will be asked to join us as a GUEST ON OUR DT for December!  And going forward the Mixed Media Mojo Diva will be our guest the following month.  So get your creations in we would love to have you join us!

This month our Mixed Media theme is "THANKFUL"!  Create something mixed media, can be a canvas, journal page etc using this theme.

My inspiration came from a canvas I saw in Hobby Lobby with a Turkey on it so I decided to create my own turkey canvas.
