Just Us Girls

This week at Just Us Girls Ina has a great wild card challenge for us and that is to make a favorite fold or shaped card.  I used to make these types of cards a few years back. I loved the apron style card, I used to use my dies.  I haven't done a shaped card in a long time so this was super fun.

Here is what I came up with:

I just cut a simple outline for the take out cup and then embellished it!  If only my Starbucks cup was like this!

Unity Girl Challenge

Unity Stamp Co has a weekly challenge on their Unity Show and Tell Facebook page.  This week it's a Unity Girl Challenge!

This is what I created!  My background was created using Watercolor crayons by Recollections.  I scribbled them down and used my wet finger to blend out.  Then I embossed over it.  I colored my girl using Dylusions Inks on a brush.

Crafty Sunday

Hey there!

Angela the owner of Unity posted a cute video on the Unity Facebook page last night of her making a super simple cute card.  And there is a challenge to go with it to recreate her card and post it as a comment to the video.

Here is my simple version of what Angela made:

This is using one of the Unity Layers Of Life past kits and Ranger Archival inks.  Super quick and easy I think it took a minute to make.  It took longer to find the stamps to use and take a picture of it.  I also distressed the edges.

Just Us Girls

Here is what I did using a Unity Itty Bitty:

 I colored using some Distress Markers and added some Wink of Stella to the glasses

I tried to capture the glitter from the Wink of Stella which you can see a bit in this close up.

Get Creative Challenge

It's time for a new GET CREATIVE CHALLENGE!  This week the sponsor is Rick St. Dennis Digital Stamps and Coloring Pages.

The theme is Gothic/Medieval.   Here is what I did with my digi girl:

I colored my girl using Dylusions Spray inks.  I spray colors in a palette and use like paint.  Be sure to swing on by the blog and come play along with us!

Just Us Girls Color Week

Colorful Play

This week I decided to play around in my Dylusions art journal.  I wanted a challenge of sorts so I randomly picked things to play with.  I without looking did pull out 2 stamp sets very randomly and the paints I did look and pick ones I wanted but did so quickly without thinking about it much.  In the end I added some stencils to the page from stencils that were on the corner of my desk and additional inks for the stamps.  I'm going to link this over at A Colorful Journey for Aprils Let's Play.

Steps I used:

The supplies I picked.  The sheet on the right is a print I pulled on a gelli plate using deli paper.

 Pulled out additional items to stamp with

 I wanted to color the birds brightly so I needed something else

Just Us Girls

This week is Trend week at Just Us Girls and Sue is our hostess!  She picked smooshing as our trend.

 I decided not to smoosh the entire background just the edges.  But I used Dylusions sprays with water.  I also colored her using Dylusions sprays and a water brush:
