Gina K Scrappy Pages

I have a scrappy page I made using "Sporty Accessories" by Melanie from Gina K Designs stamps to share. Each week at Stamp TV there are a bunch of fun sketches and I have been having fun using Gina's stamps in my scrapbook pages.

Funny story about this page.... I stamped the balls around the edge had the page all set and almost done when I looked at the balls and thought they looked funny for a baseball, only to realize I used the tennis ball! LOL! I had to get that layer off and do it over. These are some photos to a small ballpark we went to recently. It's an independent league team not MLB, but do I have more photos from a MLB ballpark to scrap soon as well.

My Time To Create Challenge

This week the theme for Lauren's My Time To Create TEMPLATE challenge is to use a back to school theme.

I had a busy week and did not get a chance to make something new using this fun theme. But I did use the Milk Maid Timeless Template not too long ago to make a quick gift card holder.

It was the night before I was meeting a friend for lunch and had gift cards for her daughters for their birthday. I wanted something cool to put it in so off I went to print the template and get crackin. Of course it was late (I know no excuses) so I didn't have much time and decided to keep it really simple.

Sorry my picture is not that great, remember I was in a rush with this one. Normally I would take alot more time with something like this. But I thought it was fun to post because it shows how simple these templates can be. Piece them together had some pattern paper and an embellishment and you have something cool to present your gift in. I didn't use the milk maid holder because I had 2 gift cards for 2 girls so I just went with the containers.

Twilight Challenge

Cammie one of the DT members of Gina K is hosting a fun challenge on her blog and on Stamp TV. It is a Twilight inspired one, basically to use one of the covers of the Twilight series books as inspiration. I pretty much went with the black and red colors.

I used the roses from "A Year of Flowers" set and the sentiment from "Whatever Floats Your Boat" set. The pattern paper is by Cosmo Cricket. This photo is so old I scanned the original to use it. I think it was when DH and I were in college and went to a formal dance! LOL! But I remembered I had this picture and me in the red dress and thought it was perfect for this challenge!

Gina K Stamp TV Challenges

Have you check out Stamp TV? It's a fun site on Ning set up by Gina K. Gina has some fun videos, chatting and lots of challenges. You know I love a challenge so I try and participate in some there mostly the scrapbook challenges lately.

I participated last week in Theresa's scrapbook challenge with this page:

I used the "Whatever Floats Your Boat" set. I stamped and colored the cute turtle and cut him out. The sentiment around the edges is also in this set. I thought using 3 photos of my son at different ages was a fun idea. These are birth, year old and the batman chair one is the most recent and he's 3 now.

Anyhow! I won the challenge this week which is fun so I get a Gina K stamp set! Thanks to Gina and Stamp TV! That was my fun news for this week.

Fun Retro Clear & Simple Stamps

I hope you had a fantastic weekend. Can you believe it's already August 9?

I wanted to share this card I made with the fun Diva Airlines set by Clear & Simple Stamps. I had some fun travel papers from my collection of scrapbook papers from the Target dollar spot.

I used some of the fun sentiments in my background. The flowers are Prima flowers. Pretty simple.

My Time To Create

This week the My Time To Create challenge is an inspiration challenge. Check out this great picture:


First I admit I took this as a color challenge and tried to use the 4 awesome colors in the circles. Then I went to grab the image to post here and had an "ah ha" moment! In my defense I had a busy week and went out last night which was a blast so I just finished my creation at 11:30pm Friday night! LOL!

Here is what I did I created a layout trying to incorporate those 4 colors and I used a great sketch by Amber from the Unity DT. You can check it out here in the Unity SCS forum.
