Some fun with Queen Kat

Today I wanted to share this simple but fun black and red card using a cute image from Queen Kat designs and the Mary Francis collection.

This would make such a cute card for a good friend.  I embossed the background strip using an embossing folder.

The Sweet Stop Challenge

I played along again this week in The Sweet Stop Challenge.  This the challenge blog for Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps! Last week I played along and had my butterfly card as on of their featured cards which was fun!

Here is what I did using the digi called Berry Sweet Cocoa. 

I used papers by Simple Stories from their newest paper collection called Summer Fresh.  The button up top is a paper button made using a Martha Stewart button punch.

Just Us Girls - An Inspiration challenge!

Hi everyone! For this week's Just Us Girls challenge we have changed it up a bit!  Instead of running a 3D template challenge the last week of the month, we are now going with an inspiration photo.  Check out this great photo for your inspriation:

The first thing that comes to mind is baby boy.  Then I remembered I had this blue and brown paper from a long time ago tucked away that might work well and this new image I just got from Unity Stamp Co.  Together I came up with this:

The paper had yellow in it as well but I figured it was ok and just went with it.  This image and sentiment is from Unity Stamp Co by Phyllis Harris called: Determination.  In the background I used the {ippity} background stamp called: A bit of burlap

The Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge

This weekend I played along with this week's The Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps!  I purchased 2 digi's to play with.  I am going to get some of their stamp sets as well but I am waiting as I will see them at a stamp show very soon, so I thought it would be more fun to buy in person! For now I'll work with a couple of digi's for fun.

Here is this week's sketch:

Here is what I did using the butterfly & flower digi :

I didn't have a Sweet 'n Sassy sentiment so I just printed it off on my computer instead.  The teal lace and white ribbon is from the wonderful trim shop Creating is Fun.

I added some clear stickler to the butterfly and some cinnamon to the center of the flower.

Just Us Girls Color Challenge

Welcome to the Just Us Girls Color Challenge!  This week our colors are BLUE, YELLOW AND WHITE.

I used some Simple Stories paper from the new collection called Summer Fresh and {ippity} Stamps!

Here it is:

On the middle of the butterfly I added some clear glitter glue from Stampin Up!  I used a tiny attacher to attach the tags to the blue section.

My butterfly is from the {ippity} kit called Now &Always and the "dream" sentiment is from the {ippity} Kit called:  Make your Mark and the tags are from the kit called "the best"

Paper Smooches SPARK Challenge!
