Just Us Girls Challenge

It's time for another fun Just Us Girls Challenge! This week I'm the hostess and it's inspiration week.  I picked this great summery/watermelon photo!  Here is what I did with it:

Unity Friends With Flair Friday!

TFIF and Time for Friends with Flair Friday!  I'm posting a little later today but was able to make a card this morning using this great fairy girl.  She is called Betsy the Butterfly Fairy!

I added star dust Stickles to her hair and wand.

I just love this cute image.  I've been using very simple inexpensive watercolors and a Tim Holtz water brush to do all my coloring lately.  I'm no expert by any means but for the most part it's been working out pretty well.

Friends With Flair Friday

Hi all!

It's been a while since I posted for Friends with Flair Friday!  Yesterday I put together a simple card using Give Love - Laugh Lots.

I have been on a kick on using white on white in the background but I think it works great with these elegant girls.  I used simple water colors to color her, been loving those!

Mixed Media Card Challenges

It's the first of the month and time for a new challenge over at The Mixed Media Card Challenges!   This month the theme is COLLAGE with the optional element being FRAME.  I ended up not going with the Frame element.

Here is what I did:

I started with a white watercolor/mixed media paper from Tim Holtz as my background.  I used Dylusions paints on it to add color:

Then I collaged over it using ripped up pieces of paper from Graphic 45 - "Come Away with Me" paper pad.  Unfortunately I did take a picture of the collaged part but then had a phone issue and lost lots of pictures.
