Unity Friends With Flair Friday

Hey there it's time for Friends with Flair Friday!  Today I wanted to share with you another card I made using washi tape.

Just a simple card with some washi in the corner and a Unity Stamp!  My colored card stock is Stampin Up.

Just Us Girls Inspiration Challenge!

It's Saturday and time for a little JUST US GIRLS CHALLENGE!  This week is photo inspiration week.  

So I have been playing with Washi this week thanks to the Paper Crafts open auditions for Gallery Idol.  

Here is what I did for this challenge:

I've also been messing around with watercoloring which is what I did with these flowers and my distress inks.  The black and white background is the washi.  I just covered a scrap piece of white paper to create it.  Not pictured is the Tim Holtz watercolor paper I used with the flowers and Swiss Dots embossing folder.  The black ribbon is random from my stash and it's grosgrain ribbon.

Friends with Flair Friday!

Hey there!!  It's Friday and time for Friends with Flair Unity style!  Paper Crafts just held the open auditions for their gallery idol so I decided to get a few cards submitted.  The challenge was to use Washi.

Here is a card I made using washi:

I used a Tim Holtz Alteration die called "Heart Wings" for my man heart image.  The sentiment is from Unity Stamp Co called Beautifully Confused, my Swiss Dots embossing folder and SU Real Red Cardstock.

I don't know that it will be a winning creation but I liked how it came out, I think the heart layered looks cool in washi!

Watercoloring Fun

So I took the online class called Watercolor for cardmakers!  It was super fun and inspiring that I have been messing around with watercolors a lot.

Here is a card I made using distress inks as my "watercolor" medium:

Since distress inks react with water they are perfect for this type of coloring.

Fun with Washi

So we all have loads of wash tapes that we just collect and hoard!  I was excited when I saw that the Open Auditions for Gallery Idol (sponsored by Paper Crafts and Scrapbooking) was to use wash! I'm super psyched to have made a few cards to submit to this competition.  Cuz' hey you never know, you have to be in to win it!

Here is one card I made:

The hearts are made using paper covered in washi and cut out using the Stampin Up hearts.

I also used yellow Dylusions sprays which didn't make my picture.  That great sentiment by Unity Stamp Co.
