Take a Leap with Just Us Girls!

It's photo week at Just Us Girls!

I took inspiration from the colors but also the word leap and thought of FROG.  But GUESS WHAT?  I couldn't find a frog stamp in my collection.  Seriously!  I know I wouldn't buy one really but I still didn't believe I couldn't find one.  I'm sure there is one somewhere buried in all the wooden stamps I have stored and don't use anymore.  SO since I wanted to use a frog and couldn't find one I decided to make one.  I like carving stamps it's pretty cool.  Of course I never (not sure you can with hand carving) get them carved so they print really crisp but to me that's the beauty of hand carving.

Altenew Challenge

Here is what I did:

I used Stampin Up Cardstock and ribbon and heat embossed these flowers in gold. I colored using 2 shades of Tombow markers and blending with water. The Altenew set is called Hennah Elements Clear.

Just Us Girls Trend Week

This week at Just Us Girls Ina is hosting our Trend week and we are adding tags to our cards!

Here is what I did using Unity Stamps and a manilla Ranger tag:

I used Stampin Up cardstock for the base.  I embossed (Lifestyle Crafts) the black piece, added Tim Holtz paper tape and some buttons.  The lace ribbon is Stampin Up and the fiber is by EK Success called Adornments.  I used simple watercolor for her hair and eyeshadow.

You Fill My Heart

The Mixed Media Card Challenge

I used some old Valentine paper I had in my stash, the jar is a stamp from Michael's dollar bin.  In the end I went with this card but I'm not thrilled with it.  But sometimes you just go with the flow.
