Clear & Simple Stamps - CPS Sponsor

This week Clear & Simple Stamps is sponsoring Card Positioning Systems. Check out this week's fun sketch:

I pulled out of my current favorite CSS sets called Winter! I love snowmen!

Here is what I came up with:

I used the images to create my own pattern paper and with this set it is so much fun! I'm sure you will see me do this again with this set. What is great about this set is it's perfect for Christmas but you can take this right into Feburary because it's just a general winter theme! I'm thinking Valentine Snowmen next.... :-)

Do you like new and exciting things? I know we all do in the stamping world! Well Clear & Simple Stamps has some new and exciting things up their sleeve for 2010!

In the meantime if you "tweet" come follow CSS on Twitter! This weekend there will be a random drawing for all followers to win a CSS Gift Certificate but this ends at midnight tonight, so hop on over and start following CSS! Also, stop on by the CSS Forum on PCP!

This Tuesday Dec 1 is the Stamp of the Month release and new Template. If you are new to CSS each month on the first they release one set that is the Stamp of the Month and a FREE template to go with it. You are going to love this month's set and template I can't wait to show you what I came up with using it.

That's it for now!

Jugs Saturday Challenge

This week the Just Us Girls Challenge is a template/gift holder challenge. It is to create a holiday gift package. I went with my super simple little holder that in the past I used as a treat holder but thought it would be perfect to hold a small gift or gift card. Forgive me I went with "Happy Birthday" instead of holidays.

Here is what I came up with:

You will want to check out what the other JUGS girls did this week. I know these girls will rock this challenge, I've seen them work with templates before and they are always awesome!

Treehouse Thursday Challenge

I hope everyone had a fabulous Thanksgiving!

This week the Treehouse Stamps weekly challenge is a color challenge of Christmas colors: Old Olive, Real Red, White, and Black. I pulled out my Wisemen Still Seek Him set to make a Christmas card.

This card is actually 4 1/4 x 4 1/2, I had this cardstock ready to go and never used it. I thought why not, doesn't always have to be "standard" does it?

Here is what I came up with:

Looking for a fun Christmas challenge head on over to the Treehouse blog and link your creations for this challenge. There is also currently a big sale going on if you are looking to add to your collection, check it out HERE. I just ordered another Christmas set and a Cupcake one, can't wait!

That's it for now! If you are going shopping tomorrow good luck!

Treehouse Treat Holder Challenge

Have you seen the fun weekly challenges Treehouse Stamps has? Every Thursday on their blog here. I decided to pull out one of my Treehouse Stamp sets to participate this week. I used a sentiment from Sweets for the Sweet set. The challenge was to make a treat holder using a template. I made this treat holder from template instructions a friend gave me a while ago.

Here is mine:

Isn't this a cute hostess gift or party favor for a holiday? My solid paper is by Gina K and my flower by Prima. Sorry folks I can't find the source for the pattern paper. Inside I stuck little Christmas cookies.

Be sure to head on over and check out the cool challenges they have! And if you like sales check out the store because there are some awesome stuff on sale!

JUGS Saturday Challenge

It's week 8 and time for another JUGS Challenge! This week Lisa is our hostess and she has an awesome color challenge for you: Pumpkin Pie, Bashful Blue and Really Rust. Of course these are all Stampin Up references and feel free to use what you have that comes close to the colors.

I decided to pull out my Clear & Simple Stamps set called In Bloom for this challenge and here is the card I made:

Here is a close up:

I didn't have Pumpkin Pie but thought my pattern paper came close enough. The blue is from Papertrey Ink and the Rust is actually Really Rust by SU.

These are the Copic Colors I used:

Be sure to swing on by JUGS blog and the blogs of the DT to see what everyone cooked up for this fun challenge.

Gina K Stamp TV Blog Event

Today is the day of the Stamp TV Blog Event! Many STV members will be playing along via the Mr. Linky on Gina's blog! We had to make something using a set from the last release and I used Festive Frame. I decided not to make a card so I altered a small wooden frame I got from Michael's and created a little "decoration" for the house.

I painted the frame in a burgandy color leaving it looking slighty weathered. I used the corners of the stamp for the corners of my frame. I have to say I was not sure which way I wanted to go with the beige showing through. I didn't want to cut it all so I just went with the flow. Of course in person it looks a bit better. I used a gloss modge podge to seal it which gives it the shine.

Be sure to swing on by Gina's Blog to see who else is playing along!
