OK carmakers how are you celebrating this annual holiday?? Have you check out my Mixed Media Challenge blog yet? Please do it's called MIXED MEDIA MOJO? I came up with the idea a few months back and got it going with some crafty friends! It's super fun. So in honor of this holiday I decided we needed a little fun.
Before we get started in case you are not familiar National Card Making day began with Paper Crafts Magazine, here is an excerpt from their site:
"World Card Making Day began in 2006 as National Card Making Day. Founded by Paper Crafts magazine to bring card makers together at the beginning of the busiest card-making season of the year, it was first held on October 7, 2006. The initial celebration involved the Paper Crafts magazine audience only; however, due to the positive response it received and the worldwide popularity of card making, the holiday became known as World Card Making Day from then on."
So come over to MIXED MEDIA MOJO and play along with our current challenge which is the theme of Halloween / Fall and to use Fabric. There is a special link for National Card Making Day on today's post. Create a card using our challenge link it up on today's post and don't forget to link up on the OCTOBER challenge post as well for a chance to be our Diva this month. For all those who link up to today's post they will be entered to win a little card making crafty package from me!
Let's get this party started! Here is a card I made using a pumpkin I carved myself, a sentiment from Unity Stamp Co and ribbon (which is my fabric, I think that's ok right?)
Close up of the ribbon:
I glued ribbon done diagonally on card stock and stamped the pumpkins over it in archival ink.
Supplies I used
Come on over to MIXED MEDIA MOJO to play along! You have until Sunday night midnight EST to link up to the National Card Making Day post and a chance to win!
Till later!

You carved that pumpkin stamp yourself? How awesome is that! I agree that ribbon is a fabric. This is a cool card! ~Niki
very cool - I did not realize that was ribbon on your pumpkins - and whoa - carved your own stamp - I would have lost a number of fingers if I tried that thanks for sharing your talent

I really like this card. All the layering with stencils in the background just adds up to a really special card.
Brilliant!! and love that you made your own stamp
